Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink composition having preferable yellow characteristics, improved repairability, maintenance and functional waiting time, suitable for an ink-jet printing method, by including water, a yellow dye and urea. SOLUTION: This composition comprises (A) water, (B) acid yellow 23 dye and (C) urea. The component A is a liquid vehicle and may be water only or may be a mixture of water and a water-soluble or a water-miscible organic component. For example, a mixture of water/sulfolane/tripropylene glycol monomethyl ether may be preferably cited as the component A. Preferably about 3 wt.% to about 6 wt.% based on an ink of the component B and about 5 wt.% to about 15 wt.% based on the ink of the component C exist. Preferably the composition is incorporated into an ink-jet printer, the liquid drops of the ink composition are issued in an image pattern on a substrate and used. Consequently a yellow ink having excellent characteristics can be provided.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve performance of a liquid jet system. SOLUTION: The liquid jet system operates corresponding to an electrostatic attraction or a magnetic force. The system comprises a sealed diaphragm structure having at least one diaphragm part 230, and a diaphragm chamber 232 to be at least partially regulated by at least one diaphragm part 230, a nozzle port 242 to be arranged on at least one diaphragm part 230, an ejection chamber 250 to be regulated between the nozzle port 242 and at least one diaphragm part 230, and a second dielectric liquid reservoir 270 containing a second dielectric liquid 234. The ejection chamber 250 accommodates a first jet liquid 252. The second dielectric liquid reservoir 270 communicates with the diaphragm chamber 232 such that fluid can flow between them to supply the second dielectric liquid 234 to the diaphragm chamber 232.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a convenient cleaning method in fluid jet system.
SOLUTION: In a method for upgrading the image transmission engine in an ink jet printer 10 or a plotter using liquid ink or electrophotography using liquid toner, a removable ink outflow tank or a cartridge containing ink cleaning agent is used in place of a removable ink tank and ink can be cleaned off completely from the ink channel in the engine. Consequently, new ink is prevented from being contaminated by ink used before in the engine.
