Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information terminal device allowing the confirmation of a schedule without being displayed on a display part. SOLUTION: A user inputs schedule information containing time information by an operation part 8. The user also inputs the schedule content by voice through a microphone. The inputted voice is converted to voice data, and stored in a RAM 4 with the schedule information. The user also selects a music in conformation to the schedule. The data of the selected music is stored in the RAM 4 in association with the schedule. When the time shown by the time information comes, the voice based on the voice data in the RAM 4 is generated, and the music based on the music data is generated to report the content of the schedule to the user. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate many kinds of musical tones of high quality with a small storage device capacity without any time delay due to decoding by using compressed waveform data. SOLUTION: In a 1st waveform storage device 13, waveform data of all preset timbres are compressed and stored and in response to a program change message, the waveform data of the corresponding timbre are read out and decoded by a decoder 24 into PCM waveform data, which are expanded in a 2nd waveform storage device 14. The musical tone generated by using the PCM waveform data stored in the 2nd waveform storage device 14 is outputted from a D/A converter 32. Audio stream data supplied to a buffer 22 are decoded by the decoder 24 and reproduced and outputted from a D/A converter 32. Further, when PCM waveform data of a user timbre are stored in the 2nd waveform storage a device 14, music composition can be reproduced with the user timbre.

SOLUTION: During downloading, a downloading center asks a portable telephone about whether tone color parameters to be downloaded are stored in the portable telephone or not and when the parameters are already stored in the telephone, the telephone is asked about the version information of the parameters (S6). The telephone notifies the center of the information related to the storage of the parameters and the version information of the parameters being stored (S8). Based on the contents of the notification, the center transmits music data excluding the already stored tone color parameters to the telephone (S10).

A hidden Markov model is generated according to a phoneme dictionary and the frame of an object person corresponding to the time of a frame of the input voice is specified in phoneme unit by using one-pass viterbi algorithm to match time relation. Data corresponding to the frame wherein the phonemes of the input voice and object voice are made to match with each other are composed.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate more natural musical sound signals corresponding to performance of a natural musical instrument by which a same pitch musical sound can be made in plural sound colors. SOLUTION: When pitches corresponding to each of 1st to 6th open strings are designated as lowest sound, a train of sound ranges is set where key banks Kb-Kb6 are successively connected without overlapping in the sound ranges allocated to each string, and sound colors of the 1st to the 6th strings of a guitar are allocated to the key banks K1-K6 respectively. In the case of generating a musical tone signal corresponding to a performance using frets exceeding sound generation ranges of each string allocated to the key banks Kb1-Kb6, the key banks Kb1-Kb6 are shifted to key banks Kbs1-Kbs6 while keeping the compass. Thus, it is possible to allocate a chord of (3) and (4), which are allocated on the same string when not shifted, can be allocated to different strings.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the service and functions by extracting formants of a singing voice and estimating the sex and age thereby controlling the service and a KARAOKE performmance. SOLUTION: The singing voice 10 inputted from a singing voice input part 1 is inputted to a formant extraction part 2. The formant extraction part 2 cuts the vowels out of the inputted singing voice 10 to extract formants 11 by the vowels. The extracted formants 11 are inputted to a formant comparison part 3. The formant comparison part 3 compares the formants 11 with reference 12 to find the degree of the distinction of sex and estimated age 13 of the singing voice. The found degree of the distinction of sex and estimated age 13 are inputted to a KARAOKE performance control part 7 and inputted to a fortune data base 5. Then the KARAOKE performance control part 7 controls the KARAOKE performance part 8 in real time according to the degree of the distinction of sex and the estimated age 13 inputted momentarily from the formant comparison part 13.
