Abstract:
Methods, systems, and computer program products for providing thermal therapies or internal thermal massage therapy for treating prostatitis by expanding and contracting a treatment balloon with inflation media and currently applying heat to a portion of the prostatic urethra.
Abstract:
An abdominal exerciser that can be conveniently applied on the abdomen of a user who is laying down flat is provided. By pushing the abdominal exerciser up and down using the abdominal muscles, abdominal muscles become toned and excess fat can be reduced. The abdominal exerciser includes a flexible plate having a plurality of projections on the bottom surface, for pushing the abdomen down by gravity, and a weight applying means fixed to the top surface of the flexible plate, for applying its weight to the abdomen.
Abstract:
Microwave-susceptible heat transfer apparatus, which apparatus comprises a dildo-shaped envelope containing therein a heat transfer medium which is such as to absorb energy applied by microwave irradiation.
Abstract:
The device comprises a plate (1) 10 cm wide and approximately 1 metre long supported by three pairs of legs (2, 3, 4) which place the plate (1) at about 15 centimetres above the ground or supporting surface. This position may be higher or lower depending on the user. A mat (5) covered in protuberances (5a) preferably of an elastically deformable material is placed on the top surface of the plate (1). The protuberances serve to massage the spinal region. By lying on the device, a person can obtain spinal release. The device is particularly suitable for treating cervicaldynia, dorsalgia and lumbago.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for automatic delivery of chest compressions and ventilation to a patient.SOLUTION: The apparatus includes: a chest compressing device configured to deliver compression phases during which pressure is applied to compress the chest and decompression phases during which approximately zero pressure is applied to the chest; a ventilator configured to deliver positive, negative, or approximately zero pressure to the airway; and a control circuitry and processor. The control circuitry and processor are configured to cause the chest compressing device to repeatedly deliver a set containing a plurality of systolic flow cycles, each systolic flow cycle comprising a systolic decompression phase and a systolic compression phase, and at least one diastolic flow cycle interspersed between sets of systolic flow cycles, each diastolic flow cycle comprising a diastolic decompression phase and a diastolic compression phase, wherein the diastolic decompression phase is substantially longer than the systolic decompression phase.
