    Abstract: PURPOSE:To permit a supersonic device to confirm its own operation by itself by detecting attenuation oscillation which occurs after pulse excitation in a supersonic wave transmitter or receiver. CONSTITUTION:A supersonic pulse generator 1 gives a supersonic wave transmitter 2 supersonic pulses making carrier waves in the form of pulses. The supersonic transmitter 2 issues the supersonic pulses generated by the pulse generator 1. A level discriminator 3 effects the level discrimination for an attenuation level at the time immediately after excitation of the supersonic pulse in the wave transmitter. Output of the discriminator 3 is fed to an AND gate 5 together with output from a gate pulse generator 4. An alarm 6 is operated by output from the AND gate 5.

According to the invention it is proposed that the ultrasonic vibration system is connected to a machine stand by way of a mounting connected to the lateral surface.
