Abstract:
Lubricating solutions are used on conveying systems in the beverage industry during the filling of containers with beverages. Lubricating compositions of the present invention, especially those designed for use in beverage conveying systems for contained beverages, comprise at least the following components: a) an alkyl alkoxylated (e.g., ethoxylated or propoxylated, preferably ethoxylated) phosphate ester, b) aryl (e.g., aromatic, such as phenol) alkoxylated (e.g., ethoxylated or propoxylated) phosphate ester, c) an aromatic or linear quaternary ammonium antimicrobial agent, and d) a liquid carrier, such as water. These lubricating solutions are capable of providing good lubricity and antimicrobial activity over a prolonged time.
Abstract:
A grease composition for construction equipment comprises a lubricating grease, a) 1 to 5% by weight of phosphate glass and b) 1 to 5% by weight of a sulfur-phosphorus extreme-pressure additive; as well as c) 0.5 to 3% by weight of an aromatic sulfonic acid salt and d) 0.1 to 3% by weight of a triazole compound as optional components based on the total weight of the grease composition. The grease composition exhibits considerably high resistance to load and accordingly, can be applied to construction equipment which require high resistance to load, such as a hydrauric excavator and a wheel loader.
Abstract:
Disclosed are grease compositions containing a liquid fluorinated polymer and a thickening agent containing hexagonal lattice boron nitride powder having a bimodal particle size distribution as well as grease compositions containing a liquid fluorinated polymer and a thickening agent containing hexagonal lattice boron nitride powder and a solid fluorinated polymer.
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide the titled die lubricant which consists of phosphoric acid (salt), boric acid (salt), salt or hydroxide of alkali metal and laminar silicate in specified proportions and exhibits excellent lubricating and release properties. CONSTITUTION:A water-soluble glass (A) is prepared by mixing 14-50mol% (as P2O3) phosphoric acid (salt), 0-80mol% (as B2O3) boric acid (salt) and 30- 80mol [as M2O (M is alkali metal)] at least one compd. selected from among carbonate, nitrate, sulfate and hydroxide of alkali metal (e.g. Na2CO3) and melting the mixture followed by quenching. For applications where the lubricity is important, 91-99.5wt% (A) is mixed with 9-0.5 laminar silicate (B) (e.g. white mica) and for applications where importance is attached to the releasability 0.5-39wt% (A) is mixed with 99.5-61wt% (B).

1399155 Lubricating greases DEUTCHE TEXACO AG 19 April 1972 [10 May 1971 18162/72 Heading C5F A lubricating grease comprises (i) a lubricating oil, (ii) a thickener comprising a calcium complex soap which consists of a calcium soap of one or more fatty acids each having more than 3 carbon atoms, and a calcium salt of at least one fatty acid having less than 4 carbon atoms, (iii) an amount of calcium in the form of calcium hydroxide equivalent to 10-60 wt. per cent of the amount of calcium required for the saponification of the fatty acids containing more than 3 carbon atoms in the molecule or "soap formers" and present as the calcium soap in the grease, and (iv) 0À1-4À0 wt. per cent, based on the grease, of a mixture of at least one alkali metal phosphate and at least one alkali metal borate. The proportion of phosphate to borate may be 1 : 4 to 4 : 1. In one example a Ca(OH) 2 /mineral oil slurry, acetic acid and an aqueous solution of sodium orthophosphate and borax are added successively to a heated mixture of naphthenic oil and oleic acid. Complex soap formation is effected by further heating. "Soap formers" is defined as glycerylesters of fatty acids which are to be saponified, each acyl group on the esters containing more than 3 carbon atoms.
