Abstract:
The present invention relates to the method and device to determination of the properties of gemstones and more particularly evolution of gemstone by detection of internal and external structure of gemstone. In particular, the present invention methods and device is used to identify the size, location of impurities/defects in raw gemstone with the help of optimize spectroscopy scanning. The present invention method and device is used for precise automatic evolution of gemstones and possibilities (estimation) of final value of planned gemstone after remaining gemstone processing cycle.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a substrate collecting device that includes a first stage on which a sheet is placed with a plurality of substrates facing downward, an sampler which carries out a predetermined operation on some of the substrates, which are disposed at predetermined positions, from above the first stage thereby to cause the substrates to come off from the sheet and fall, an optical system and a collector disposed below the first stage, and a second stage, which integrally moves the optical system and the collector in a horizontal direction. The second stage is capable of positioning the optical system and the collector at two positions at which the optical system or the collector is disposed substantially vertically below a predetermined position.
Abstract:
An integrated system operation method is disclosed that includes the following steps: the film of a substrate is measured by a metrology apparatus to obtain a film information. The substrate is moved from the metrology apparatus to a process apparatus adjacent to the transfer apparatus. The film information is sent to the process apparatus. A film treatment is applied to the substrate in accordance with the film information.
Abstract:
A blood testing meter with a fool-proofing function has a measuring display unit, a connector and a blocking structure. The connector is mounted in the measuring display unit and has at least one guiding groove, and the at least one guiding groove is formed through an outer side of the measuring display unit. The blocking structure is mounted on the outer side of the measuring display unit and is adjacent to an opening of the connecting groove. When the blood test strip is inserted from a wrong direction into the connector, the slot would be engaged with the blocking structure to prevent the blood test strip from being inserted into the connector.
Abstract:
The invention relates to optoelectronic systems for detecting one or more target particles. The system includes a reaction chamber, a specimen collector, an optical detector, and a reservoir containing cells, each of the cells having receptors which are present on the surface of each cell and are specific for the target particle to be detected, where binding of the target particle to the receptors directly or indirectly activates a reporter molecule, thereby producing a measurable optical signal.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a system and method for monitoring changes in reagent concentration, and in particular, to a system and method for monitoring for changes in reagent concentrations within small volumes of liquids in contact with a biological sample (908) disposed on a substrate such as a microscope slide (906) using a refractometer based on the reflection of a laser beam (900) coupled to the sample (908) via a prism (904).
Abstract:
Improved gas leak detection from moving platforms is provided. Automatic horizontal spatial scale analysis can be performed in order to distinguish a leak from background levels of the measured gas. Source identification can be provided by using isotopic ratios and/or chemical tracers to distinguish gas leaks from other sources of the measured gas. Multi-point measurements combined with spatial analysis of the multi-point measurement results can provide leak source distance estimates. These methods can be practiced individually or in any combination.
