Abstract: A method controlling an ego vehicle in an environment includes determining, via a flow model of a parked vehicle recognition system, a flow between a first representation of the environment and a second representation of the environment. The method also includes determining, via a velocity model of the parked vehicle recognition system, a velocity of a vehicle in the environment based on the flow. The method further includes determining, via a parked vehicle classification model of the parked vehicle recognition system, the vehicle is parked based on the velocity of the vehicle and one or more of features associated with the vehicle and/or the environment. The method still further includes planning a trajectory of the ego vehicle based on determining the vehicle is parked.

Abstract: Foreign objects impinging on a ground transceiver assembly (GTA) of a wireless power transfer (WPT) station are detected using a two-stage foreign object detection system. In a first stage, at least one camera is positioned to observe a charging position of the GTA and an area surrounding the charging position. In a second stage, an impedance measurement circuit measures an impedance of a wireless power transfer coil of the GTA. An imaging processor analyzes images from the at least one camera to identify changes or features indicative of introduction of a foreign object onto an exposed surface of the GTA or in the area surrounding the charging position. A foreign object detection (FOD) controller triggers an impedance inspection of the GTA by the impedance measurement circuit and initiates a failsafe operation when movement of an object crossing into or over the charging position is detected.

Abstract: A control device includes an external environment recognizing unit that recognizes a surrounding situation of a moving body based on external environment recognition data acquired from an external environment sensor, and a prediction unit that, based on the surrounding situation, performs prediction regarding rush-out of a moving obstacle to a first lane in which the moving body is positioned. The external environment recognizing unit recognizes, as the surrounding situation, behavior of opposite-direction moving bodies moving in a second lane adjacent to the first lane in a direction opposite to a moving direction of the moving body, the opposite-direction moving bodies including a first another moving body positioned in the moving direction of the moving body and a second another moving body moving behind the first another moving body. The prediction unit predicts a possibility of rush-out of the moving obstacle based on a behavior of the second another moving body.

Abstract: A vehicle monitoring system includes at least one camera, and a server that is communicably connected to a client terminal. The camera performs capturing a vehicle while switching a first capturing condition including an image parameter for capturing a number of the vehicle entering an angle of view of the camera and a second capturing condition including an image parameter for capturing an occupant's face of the vehicle, and transmits a first captured video under the first capturing condition and a second captured video under the second capturing condition to the server. The server arranges reproduction screens for the first captured video and the second captured video that are reproduceable in the client terminal and displays the reproduction screens on the client terminal based on the first captured video and the second captured video.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide a method performed at a computer system that is in communication with an electric vehicle charging station (EVCS). The EVCS includes a camera for obtaining images in a region proximal to the EVCS. The method includes capturing, using the camera, a plurality of images of electric vehicles, each image in the plurality of images being an image of a respective electric vehicle. The method further includes, for each respective image of the plurality of images of electric vehicles: determining, without user intervention, a characteristic of the respective electric vehicle; and tagging, without user intervention, the respective image with the characteristic of the respective electric vehicle. The method further includes training a first machine learning algorithm to identify the characteristic of other electric vehicles using the tagged plurality of images.

Abstract: A method of detecting traffic passing a camera overlooking a roadway. The method comprises receiving video frames by a traffic analytics engine from the camera, determining a mask that defines a lane detection region by the traffic analytics engine based on an assumed average length of a vehicle and based on analyzing lane boundary markers in the video frames; determining a background reference frame by the traffic analytics engine by applying the mask to the video frames and by averaging the pixels of the masked video frames; determining that at least some of the masked video frames differ from the background reference frame by more than a detection threshold; and incrementing a traffic count associated with the lane detection region stored in a memory of the computer system based on the masked video frames that differ from the background reference frame by more than the detection threshold.

Abstract: A leak detection system is configured to provide vehicle-specific leak detection for a vehicle. The leak detection system includes a memory circuit having a plurality of leak detection instructions matched with vehicle identification information. The system additionally includes an ultraviolet light source and a camera configured to capture an image of an area illuminated by the ultraviolet light source. A processor is in operative communication with the memory circuit and the camera. The processor is configured to facilitate identification of at least one of the plurality of leak detection instructions in response to receipt of vehicle identification information associated with the vehicle, and compare the image captured by the camera to a known image of the vehicle to determine presence and location of a leak.
