Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a roll of adhesive labels. The method includes the step of providing a plurality of adhesive labels fixed to a backing sheet. A predetermined number of labels are removed from the backing sheet to thereby form a leading edge of the sheet that only includes the backing sheet and no labels. The leading edge includes no labels to thereby facilitate mounting the sheet of carrier material on a printing or applicator machine.
Abstract:
An apparatus and related method for printing marks on media of different formats, such as for example identification plates for cables and electrical components or labels of varying type and sizes, intended for multiple applications, the apparatus (1 ) comprising: one printhead (13) movable along a respective printing direction (Z) between an operative condition in which it impresses the printing of marks onto said media (2), and a non- operative condition in which it does not print; a drawer (17) supporting at least a first type of plate (3) consisting of a tape (32) having a predefined size, movable along a direction (X) transverse to the printing direction (Z) at least between an access position wherein the tab (32) is arranged in or removed from the drawer (17), and a printing position in which the tab (32) is placed adjacent to the head (13); and a motorised drive unit (23) for a second type of plate (8) consisting of a tape (24) wound onto a reel (25), to continuously feed said tape (24) adjacent to the printhead (13).

Abstract:
The invention relates to a printable laminate label and a printed self- adhesive laminate label woundable to a roll. Further the application concerns an apparatus for providing a linerless label and a method for providing a linerless label. A label according to an embodiment comprises a face stock (102), an adhesive layer (104) and a release liner (106). The release liner (106) is releasably attached to a surface of the adhesive layer (104) and an opposing surface of the adhesive layer (104) is attached to a release layer (103). The release layer (103) is attached to a surface of the face stock (102), and an opposing surface of the face stock (102) comprises a printable surface. The adhesive layer (104) is detachable from the release layer (103) attached to the surface of the face stock (102) and attachable on a printed surface of the face stock (102).
Abstract:
This application relates to a multi-layer sheet suitable for printer mfeed comprising a liner sheet and a label sheet. The sheets are bonded together with a dry release coating. The coating may comprise, for example, a dry adhesive or the combination of a breakaway coating and an adhesive. In one embodiment, the label sheet is formed of transparent plastic and is cut to define a plurality of labels. When a label is removed from the liner sheet, the adhesive remains on the liner sheet and the label is non-tacky. Similarly, since the adhesive is quick drying or coated, the dry release coating ensures that the exposed liner layer is also non-tacky after a label is removed. This permits the multi-layer sheet to be fed through a printer multiple times, even after some labels have been removed.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A high strength, flexible, foldable and printable sheet, such as a label sheet (12) or cardstock, is provided with a line of weakness (24). The sheet has maximum dimensions greater than that of a box (34, 36) into which the sheet is to be located, and is therefore folded flat to fit into the box. The sheet is later removed, and may be printed in a laser or ink jet printer or copier (38). The sheet is formed to have a tensile strength of at least 4.5 or 5.0 or more pounds, across the line of weakness, so that it will reliably feed through an office type printer or copier.
Abstract:
The printed, woven or embroidered badges are first fixed on a sheet by the use of an intermediate welding layer and by application of a pressure up to 5 bars and a temperature of about 215 C by means of a machine specially designed (Hotpress-Emblem). The client, or the manufacturer, fixes the printed woven or embroidered badge on the object made of fabric by applying a temperature of about 215 C and a pressure comprised between 2.5 and 6 bars approximately. The layer used has a thickness of about 0.2 to 0.25 mm. The tolerance must be +/- 2 C to the maximum.
Abstract:
A label sheet assembly (10) and method is disclosed for improving the process of feeding label sheets through a printer. The label sheet assembly (10) may include a facestock layer (20) and a liner sheet. The facestock layer (20) may include an adhesive layer along at least a portion of a first side and include a label surface along at least a portion of the second side opposite the adhesive layer. The facestock layer (20) may include at least one cut line (50) that defines at least one label (60) within the facestock layer (20) while the remaining portions of the facestock layer (20) may be a matrix portion (70). The matrix portion (70) may include at least one discontinuous cut line (80) spaced from the cut line (50) that defines at least one label (60) wherein the discontinuous cut line (80) may create a zone of decreased bending stiffness along the label sheet assembly (10).
