Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus which breaks a connecting element between a base and a shell of a double layer label comprising the base to be stuck to an article and the shell and makes the shell rotatable. SOLUTION: A first belt 32 conveys an article 50 having a double layer label attached at a first speed. A second belt 34 holds the article 50 in a nonrotatable position relative to the first belt 32. A third belt 36 advances at a second speed different from the first speed and selectively contacts with a rotatable part of the shell 52 at the upper layer of the label. By frictions arising from the difference of speed, a joint connecting the shell to the base at the under layer of the label is broken, and the shell 52 is made rotatable relative to the base.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a bi-layer pre-oil valve assembly and method of making that may be attached to a receptacle that provides a fluid resistant seal but allows for the expulsion of air pressure from the interior of a receptacle. The valve assembly may include a base layer, an adhesive layer, a fluid layer, and a material layer. The fluid layer may be a low viscosity fluid that is applied during the manufacturing of the valve and incorporated into the layer of the valve. The base layer may include an aperture. The adhesive layer may be provided about a portion of the perimeter of the base layer to define a non-adhesive portion. The fluid layer is applied along a portion of the non-adhesive portion of the base layer to define a channel or path to facilitate the release of gas or fluid from the receptacle.
Abstract:
A multiple wrap label has a first wrap portion extending from a first end and having a first width, and a second wrap portion extending from the first wrap portion to a second end, the second wrap portion having a second width greater than the first width, the second wrap portion extending over and enclosing the first wrap portion when the label is applied to a container.
Abstract:
A method is provided for determining a minimum volume of headroom to leave in a package to sufficiently limit bricking of the package. It includes: determining, for a mass of contents packed in a first interior space of the package distinct from the headroom, a first volume of space located within the first interior space, which first volume of space is intermingled with but unoccupied by the mass of content; and determining the minimum volume of headroom to leave in the package to sufficiently limit bricking of the package such that the minimum volume is proportional to the first volume. Optionally, the method further includes determining a constant of proportionality based on a variation of exterior pressures the package is projected to be exposed to, such that the minimum volume of headroom is determined to be directly proportional to the first volume by the constant of proportionality.
Abstract:
Provided is an anti-static and high-heat resistant label sheet comprising a film, metallic interlayer, and adhesive. The metallic interlayer comprises pigments that are smoother, have a rounded edge, and result in a more homogenous thickness with minimal to no surface defects, which allow for increased reflectivity and vibrancy of the pigments and label sheet. The pigments are also aligned as to form channels within the metallic interlayer for dispersing and preventing buildup of static electricity. The label sheet may further comprise a printable top coat, primer coating, a colored coating, and a liner layer. The printed label sheets may be used for asset tracking and security labeling, such as barcoding products and inventory. The metallic color and reflectivity of the label sheets, and the die-cut labels thereon, may enable readability of the barcodes with a handheld scanner up to 24 inches distance
Abstract:
A thermoformed storage and display unit (10) comprises a platform base (20) and detachable lid 830). The base and lid are made of thermoformed plastic and can display items in upright position for easy access, with the lid preferably formed from plastic possessing sufficient transparency to permit the viewing of stored materials even when the lid is fitted over the base. The unit also possesses a generally rectangular in geometry with angled (5°) slots (22) for display. The slots may further include protrusions (24) for better holding and supporting the items being displayed.
Abstract:
A printing system and method of printing are provided herein. The printing system may generate custom user designs for printing. The designs may be associated with a selected print medium. The print medium may have a particular layout. The printing system may convert the design for printing on other print media without requiring user alteration or input of the design. In another aspect, the printing system may facilitate printing the designs via local printers and/or via professional printers. Accordingly, printing of designs on different print- receptive media items can be accomplished.
Abstract:
A binder mechanism is shown and described herein. The binder mechanism may include a base, first and second ring bases pivotally coupled to the base, first and second ring portions fixed with the ring bases, at least one pin attached with the first and second ring bases, a slide operatively engaged with the base and operatively engaged with the at least one pin, the slide selectively and axially positionable relative to the base, and an actuator operatively engaged with the slide, where the actuator is configured to selectively and axially position the slide whereby the slide positions the at least one pin to pivot the first and second ring bases away from one another to disengage the first and second ring portions.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to on-cell battery tester structures, to improved and/or to more informative charge indicator arrangements, and to methods for making and/or producing same. In one embodiment, the on-cell battery testers of the present invention are thermochromic in nature and comprise an insulator layer that contains, among other items, glass microspheres, polypropylene beads or microspheres, or a combination of both. In still another embodiment, the on-cell battery tester of the present invention comprises a printed insulator layer that contains, among other items, glass microspheres, polypropylene beads or microspheres, silica or a combination of any two or more thereof. In still yet another embodiment, the present invention relates to an charge indicator arrangement that conveys to an individual among other things, an improved, or more accurate, indicator of charge level, and to a method of making same.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to self-adhesive labels, label sheet assemblies, and related methods. The label sheet assembly includes a release liner assembly having a detachable portion, and a label releasably coupled to the release liner assembly and overlying the detachable portion. Weakened separation lines, a U-shaped cut, and a transverse cut define the detachable portion. The detachable portion is configured to remain coupled to the label as the label is peeled from the release liner assembly in a first direction, and the detachable portion is configured to remain part of the release liner assembly and separate from the label as the label is peeled from the release liner assembly in a second direction.
