Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical reader capable of efficiently and quickly transmitting a read image optically read by the optical reader from an object to be read, to an external device such as a host computer and to provide a method and program for controlling the same.SOLUTION: A dot impact printer 10, having an optical reader for optically reading an object to be read, stores read image data of the optical reader, sets an area to be read, transmits read image data, which is stored in a reading buffer disposed in a RAM 41, for each area to a host computer 200 and, if a plurality of areas to be read are set, determines an order of transmission of each area to be read according to prescribed conditions and transmits read image data for each area to be read according to the order of transmission.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make constitution of the mechanics simple and to make image inputting of high quality by simple operation by adding a mark having fixed regularity to a medium to be read, reading above-mentioned mark at every scanning, and making correction of overlapping of inputted data, correction of deviation of starting position of scanning, etc. CONSTITUTION: A black mark 23 is printed on an underlay 22 for setting an inputting paper 21. The mark 23 is tapered upward, and the width of the mark along the direction of scanning narrows gradually upward. Straight lines (guide lines) 24 are provided at intervals equal to the width of reading of a sensor to use as parallelism guide at the time of input scanning. Thus, by adding a mark having fixed regularity on a medium to be read on which images of characters, graphics, etc. that become objects of inputting, and reading above- mentioned mark at every scanning, correction of overlapping of inputted data, correction of deviation of starting position of scanning etc. can be executed. Abstract:
A high speed parallel process raster input scanner employing time delay in integration (TDI) arrays for scanning plural lines of an original document. The lines of image signals output by the arrays are processed simultaneously, such processing including a two dimensional digital processor for processing text and pictorial image signals which are then input to a detector for selecting one or the other of the text and pictorial image signals for output from the scanner.
Abstract:
An image reading device (50) having plural image sensors (100 SIMILAR 104) and a reading controller (106) is disclosed. The image reading device is for obtaining image data over a subject by joining subimage data outputs read by the image sensors, each image sensor comprising: a signal amplifier; and an A/D converter for converting an analog value output from the image sensor to a digital value; whereby the reading controller adjusts an amplification factor of each signal amplifier so that a read value of a white board (22) read by each image sensor becomes a predetermined value (A).
Abstract:
An image-recording apparatus 1 includes image recording assembly 60 and a control section 40 having image-processing section 44 . The image-processing section divides the image data indicative of the complete image into a plurality of image data pieces indicative of divided images, detects two adjoining divided-images that individually have a joint portion and adjoin each other at the respective joint portions, in the divided images indicated by the divided image data pieces and rotates one of the adjoining divided-images so as to make a recording direction of one of the adjoining divided-images opposite to a recording direction of the other adjoining divided-image. The control section controls the image recording assembly so that a recording medium carries in one direction during recording all divided-images. The divided images are recorded on the respective recording-media one by one to form a plurality of output images. The plurality of output images configure one complete image.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate high-quality image data in a compact device size. SOLUTION: A multifunction peripheral 10 includes a transparent plate 32 to set a document 90 thereon, a light source 60, and two DS units 40, 50 placed under the transparent plate 32. In a plane view of the transparent plate 32, the two DS units 40, 50 are offset from each other and overlapped on the transparent plate 32. To each of the two DS units 40, 50, reflection light from the document 90 is directly made incident and the DS unit generates photography data of the document 90 from the incident light. The two DS units 40, 50 generate partially overlapping photography data. The multifunction peripheral 10 combines the photography data generated by the two DS units 40, 50 to generate image data of the document 90. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously acquire entire video of low resolution and partial video of high resolution at high speed. SOLUTION: A solid-state imaging device 10 has a pixel array 12 of high resolution where a plurality of light receiving elements is arrayed in high density. A low resolution entire video scanning part 14 outputs entire video data in low resolution by entire read and scan where the resolution of the pixel array 12 is lowered. A high resolution partial video scanning part 16 outputs partial video data in high resolution with partial reading and scanning where the high resolution of the pixel array 12 is maintained. A switching part 20 switches the low resolution entire video scanning part 14 and the high resolution partial video scanning part 16 within a frame period to successively output low resolution entire video data and high resolution partial video data at a speed equal to or higher than the video rate. A video segmenting processing part 32 automatically determines the position to segment high resolution video in the next frame based upon the low resolution entire video data and instructs the high resolution partial video scanning part 16.
