A process for the gas-phase polymerization of one or more alpha-olefms in the presence of a polymerization catalyst, the process comprising: - at least a polymerization step wherein the polymer particles flow downward in densified form under the action of gravity so as to form a densified polymer bed; - metering an anti-fouling agent in said polymerization step by means of at least N feeding lines placed at different heights of said densified polymer bed, N being the integer number satisfying the equation N> (1+0.08 % H), where H is the height (expressed in meters) of the polymer bed.

A method for treating polymer particles with steam in a steaming vessel downstream a polymerization process, the method comprising contacting polymer particles with a counter-current flow of steam, wherein the flow rate of steam entering said steaming vessel is continuously maintained proportional to the production rate of said polymer in said polymerization process and to the gradient between the temperature (T out ) of the polymer exiting said steaming vessel and the temperature (T in ) of the polymer entering said steaming vessel.

A control method for controlling a fluidized bed polymerisation reactor in the production of a given polymer product, the method comprising the following steps: (a) determining a ratio of the production rate of the polymer product in the reactor to the pressure in the reactor, (b) setting a production rate of the polymer product in the reactor which production rate, on the basis of said ratio of step (a), corresponds to a desired pressure in the reactor; (c) adjusting the feed rates of monomers into the reactor in accordance with said set point production rate.

The solid catalyst component is able to give in high yields polyolefins with high stereoregularity.

The present invention relates to a polyolefin sheet having at least one layer comprising: - 70-88 %wt of a component 1) being a propylene based copolymer having a content of α-olefin derived units selected from ethylene and C 4 -C 10 α-olefins and mixtures thereof comprised between 0.2% by weight and 35% by weight; and - 12-30%wt of a component 2) being a cyclic-olefin copolymer (COC). The polyolefin sheet according to the present invention has improved water-vapor barrier properties and is particularly suitable to be used for pharmaceutical blisters.
