Abstract: A furnace for a heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) system includes a first set of heat exchanger tubes positioned within an air flow path of the furnace through which an air flow may be directed, a second set of heat exchanger tubes positioned within the air flow path of the furnace, and a deflector baffle positioned within the air flow path and configured to direct a portion of the air flow toward the second set of heat exchanger tubes. The first set of heat exchanger tubes, the deflector baffle, and the second set of heat exchanger tubes are each respectively offset from one another in a direction of the air flow along the air flow path.

Abstract: A heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system includes a compressor having a discharge port and a suction port, a first sensor configured to provide feedback corresponding to a first temperature of the working fluid exiting the compressor proximate the discharge port, a second sensor configured to provide feedback corresponding to a second temperature of the working fluid entering the compressor proximate the suction port, and an automation controller storing data indicative of an operational envelope. The operational envelope defines compressor operation coordinates corresponding to a range of suction temperatures and a range of discharge temperatures inside and outside of a target region of the operational envelope, and the automation controller is configured to control a target range of compressor speeds based on a comparison of the target region to an operation coordinate defined by the feedback from the first sensor and the feedback from the second sensor.

During operation of the user equipment electronic device, a change in slot aggregation is made. Using the aggregated slots, the user equipment electronic device and/or a wireless network utilize beam sweeps to determine a best beam pairing by repeating a shared channel in the aggregated slots with a beam sweep of multiple beams between the user equipment electronic device and the wireless network.

Abstract: An agent automation system includes a memory configured to store a natural language understanding (NLU) framework and a model, wherein the model includes at least one original meaning representation. The system includes a processor configured to execute instructions of the NLU framework to cause the agent automation system to perform actions including: performing rule-based generalization of the model to generate at least one generalized meaning representation of the model from the at least one original meaning representation of the model; performing rule-based refinement of the model to prune or modify the at least one generalized meaning representation of the model, or the at least one original meaning representation of the model, or a combination thereof; and after performing the rule-based generalization and the rule-based refinement of the model, using the model to extract intents/entities from a received user utterance.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an improved flyback converter that separates the magnetic components of the converter into a transformer and a separate, discrete energy storage inductor. This arrangement can improve the operating efficiency of the converter by reducing the commutation losses as compared to a conventional flyback converter. The magnetic components may be constructed on separate magnetic cores or may be constructed on magnetic cores having at least one common element, thereby allowing for at least partial magnetic flux cancellation in a portion of the core, reducing core losses.

Abstract: A duplexer may be used to isolate a transmitter and a receiver that share a common antenna. By using impedance gradients to provide impedances that cause balance-unbalance transformers (balun) of the duplexer to cut-off access to the common antenna rather than duplicate the antenna impedance, the duplexer is balanced. Such cut-offs may have a lower insertion loss than a duplexer that merely duplicates the antenna impedance to separate the differential signals of the receiver and transmitter from the common mode signal.

Abstract: This disclosure provides techniques for pooling and searching network security events reported by multiple sources. As information representing a security event is received from one source, it is searched against a central or distributed database representing events reported from multiple, diverse sources (e.g., different client networks). Either the search or correlated results can be filtered and/or routed according at least one characteristic associated with the networks, for example, to limit correlation to events reported by what are presumed to be similarly situated networks. The disclosed techniques facilitate faster identification of high-relevancy security event information, and thereby help facilitate faster threat identification and mitigation. Various techniques can be implemented as standalone software (e.g., for use by a private network) or for a central pooling and/or query service. This disclosure also provides different examples of actions that can be taken in response to search results.

Abstract: A processor may receive a request with a column-oriented operation. The query request may be related to updates to a row-oriented database based on the query request previously performed on the row-oriented database. The processor may determine the amount of time for replicating the updates to a column-oriented database. If the amount of time for replicating the updates to the column-oriented database is greater than a threshold amount of time, then the processor may create a transient file with the updates. The transient file may be in a format that is recognized by the column-oriented database. The processor may query the column-oriented database based on the query request and the transient file.

Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein relate to reducing a power consumption of an electronic device while maintaining some functionality of the electronic device while the electronic device is in a low power mode. The device may be in the low power mode due to a battery level being below a threshold. If the battery level is below the threshold, the electronic device may enter the low power mode. However, before entering the low power mode, some functionality of an application processor may be transferred to a communication controller. Once the functionality is transferred, the application processor may be disabled to reduce power consumption while maintaining functionality of the application processor. The electronic device may also utilize various communication protocols to communicate with a peripheral device. Even though the electronic device may be in the low power mode, the communication controller may be used to cause the peripheral device to perform various actions.
