Abstract:
Abstract:
The plate (2) of the scales bear on a blade (12). A second blade (14) more rigid than the blade (12) is arranged thereunder. The blade (14) is provided with a lever (15) hinged thereto. When the lever (15) is inserted between the blades (12, 14), the weighing scale and the measuring range of a weight indicator device (3) correspond to a person weighing scale. When the lever (15) is disengaged from the blades (12, 14), the weighing scale and the measuring range of the weight indicator device (3), after inversion of the latter, correspond to a household scales.
Abstract:
A sewing machine case comprises a rectangular box-like hollow pedestal to the upper edges of which are hinged four flaps. A base and lower free arm of the sewing machine can be removably housed in said pedestal, the free arm fitting in an opening in the upper surface of the pedestal which forms, with the flat upper surface of the free arm, a small work table. In a lowered position the flaps form access slopes to this table, a cover hinged on one flap being folded thereunder to hold the flap in the plane of the table. The flaps can be folded up and fixed to the cover to close the case around the machine.
Abstract:
A presser foot for a sewing machine comprises a part provided with a presser member, movable with respect to an attaching part for securing the foot to a presser bar of the machine, an actuating member mounted on one of said parts for the relative movement of said parts between two end positions, and an elastic linking element mounted between said actuating member and the other said part. The actuating member may be a manual driving device or driven by a part rigid with a movable member of the machine.
Abstract:
A COVER ENTIRELY ENCLOSES THE FREE END OF THE TAKEUP LEVER. TWO SLITS IN THE COVER PERMIT THE SEWING THREAD TO BE INSERTED INTO THE COVER AND LEFT TO HANG FREELY OVER
THE END OF THE TAKEUP LEVER, WHICH HAS MEANS TO PREVENT THE THREAD FROM SLIPPING OFF THE LEVER END.
