Abstract:
A corrugated piping assembly (100) for use in an irrigation system for bridging between different pipe sections and/or irrigation appliances. The assembly having a corrugated pipe section (10) fitted a rear end to a connector (25) and a sleeve (12) overlaying a region (7) where the pipe section fits over the connector. And the sleeve (25) is arranged to press inwards against pipe section (10) to press it against portions of the connector (25).
Abstract:
A drip irrigation system (10, 100) includes a distribution pipe (12, 120) and drip irrigation pipes (14, 140) that branch off from communication with the distribution pipe. Each drip pipe has a flushing valve (20, 200) coupled to a downstream end and at least some of the drip pipes have each an inlet valve (16, 160) coupled to an upstream end for communication with the distribution pipe. The system further has at least one command valve (23, 25, 230, 250) in communication with the distributing pipe and with at least some of the inlet vales, wherein opening of the command valve is configured to close the at least some inlet valves.
Abstract:
Disclosed are methods and apparatus for blending wastewater with fresh water for fertigation of a crop. In one embodiment, the wastewater and the fresh water are blended at a predetermined flow ratio through a blending valve to obtain a blended stream. A logic based controller controls the blending valve to set a predetermined flow ratio according to the electricity conductivity (EC) of the blended water stream. The blending, measuring, and adjusting steps form a feedback loop so as to maintain the blended stream at a target EC value.
Abstract:
An irrigation system is provided for irrigating a field divided into zones. The zones are arranged in columns extending alongside each other. The system has irrigation strips and a control head at an upstream end of each irrigation strip. Each irrigation strip provides irrigation substances to a column of zones and all control heads are located alongside a boundary of the field.
Abstract:
A drip irrigation emitter is provided extending between first and second longitudinal ends. The emitter has an outer side for attaching to a pipe that is laterally bound between first and second longitudinal edges. The outer side has a flow path and an exit pool, and at least a section of the flow path extends downstream along the first edge and at least a portion of the exit pool is formed between the section of the flow path and the second edge.
Abstract:
For indoor mushroom cultivation a method of irrigating and cultivating the mushrooms includes disposing drip irrigation pipes (16) in a bed (10). The drip pipes (16) can be disposed in a casing layer (14) that overlies a substrate layer (16), and irrigation can be according to measurements taken in the environment outside of the bed (10).
Abstract:
An irrigation pipe coupler (10) can engage an open end of an irrigation pipe with its forward end. The coupler has a nipple (24) and an outer collar (20). The nipple has an outwardly projecting barb (38) and the collar surrounds the nipple and has an inwardly projecting bulge. The collar is slidably moved along the nipple between forward and rear terminal positions while being kept spaced radially outwardly from the nipple via a peripheral gap that is re-defined for each new position of the collar along the nipple. At each such new position the gap has a narrow region measured in the radial direction where the collar is closest to the nipple and the narrow region gets smaller at least during at least part of the forward movement of the collar along the nipple.

Abstract:
An aeration system for a bed of ore that is laid upon a basal layer has a gas source located upstream for supplying gas and aeration pipes that distribute the gas downstream to the bed. Each aeration pipe has spaced-apart gas emitters that distribute gas to the bed and the aeration pipes extend through the bed towards the basal layer.
Abstract:
An emitter (20) comprising: a plurality of inlet apertures through which liquid enters the emitter; a manifold flow channel (32) into which liquid that passes through the apertures flow; an elastic diaphragm (50) that seats on the manifold flow channel; an outlet aperture through which liquid that enters the emitter exits the emitter (20); wherein liquid that enters the inlet apertures (33) displaces only a portion of the diaphragm (50) from the manifold channel so that the liquid can leave the manifold channel and flow through the emitter (20) to reach the outlet aperture.
