    Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for storage of an agricultural product by subjecting to low temperature storage in a high humidity food condition is provided. It prevents the weight reduction of the agricultural product and permits the long-term freshness of the agricultural product to be achieved. The high humidity and low temperature storehouse is also used without a humidifier, an electric heater or the like to achieve the subjective of the method. CONSTITUTION: An agricultural product is charged into a low temperature storehouse and controlled to allow the log mean temperature difference(ΔTm) of an evaporator defined by the formula(2) to be maintained within 4.5deg.C. The formula(2) is D(%)=a(ΔTm)+b(a and b are an integer, R2=0.9966), ΔTm=ΔT1-ΔT2/2.3log(ΔT1/ΔT2), with the proviso that ΔT1: a temperature difference(deg.C) between outlet air and evaporation, ΔT2: a temperature difference(deg.C) between inlet air and evaporation.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A precooling apparatus capable of shortening a precooling time is provided which reduces labor power and consumption energy for the precooling process and preserves high quality vegetables or fruits for a long period of time. CONSTITUTION: In a tunnel type precooling apparatus, an inlet door(1) and outlet door, which are slid, opened and closed up and downwardly, are installed on both sides of a precooling chamber(3), a transfer conveyor(3a) for transferring each precooling product is installed in plural rows inside the inlet and outlet door and at the interior of the precooling chamber. A cold air through-hole(8a) also is formed at the interior of the cooling chamber to cause the circulation of cold air between the upper and lower space. A differential pressure fan(4) for forcibly circulating cold air is arranged on both sides of the transfer conveyor. A unit cooler(5) forcibly circulating cold air and generating cold air is arranged at the lower part of the transfer conveyor.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: An environment monitoring system of a cryogenic refrigerator using internet is provided to improve the storing property of agricultural products and to lengthen the expiration period of products by keeping the agricultural products optimum. CONSTITUTION: A remote monitoring terminal(100) is mounted to monitor the inner environment of a cryogenic refrigerator(40). Plural external MODEMs(Modulator/Demodulator,110,140) are mounted to transmit/receive signals between the remote monitoring terminal and a control unit(90) of the cryogenic refrigerator. A telephone alarming device(130) is mounted to alarm a user of abnormality of the cryogenic refrigerator if the cryogenic refrigerator is broken. A manager monitors the storing conditions of the cryogenic refrigerator through a telephone line and alarms a user of abnormality of the refrigerator by calling up on the phone from the control unit if the refrigerator is broken. Thereby, the manager takes prompt action on emergency to minimize damage of agricultural products in the refrigerator.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for automatically managing environment and a storehouse thereof are provided to store agricultural products under optimum environmental condition and to detect and control the storing condition from remote place. CONSTITUTION: A storehouse comprises temperature sensors(110) installed on an evaporator and outside of the storehouse; a carbon dioxide sensor(130) measuring concentration of carbon dioxide; an A-D converter(210) converting the measured value into digital; and a central operation apparatus(220). Herein, temperature deviation is adjusted within plus or minus 0.5deg.C by using an inverter. Humidity deviation is adjusted within plus or minus 5% through controlling a humidifier by using a computer. A proper ventilating time is decided by using the carbon dioxide sensor for automatically controlling a ventilating fan. Moreover, the temperature sensor is installed on the evaporator for automatically defrosting.
