Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for drying farm products by using microwave and a drying apparatus using the method are provide to sharply reduce the drying time and maintain the quality of the products for a long time. CONSTITUTION: The farm products are dried by putting farm products into a heating room, applying microwave to the farm products to heat up the products from the inside, removing the products to a drying room, and supplying hot air to the products to reheat up and dehydrate the products. The process is repeated at least two times. The drying apparatus comprises a main body(100) composed of a heating room(200) and a first and a second drying room(300)(400) having each inlet and outlet port, a microwave generator (210) inside the body, a waveguide(220) guiding the generated microwave into the heating room having a drying box where farm products are accumulated inside, a circular removing mean for removing the drying box from the heating room to the drying rooms, a piling mean for heaping up the removed drying boxes, and a heated air supply mean for supplying hot air to the piled boxes.
