Abstract:
PURPOSE: A data storage media, and its regenerating system and method are provided to reconfigure a video screen and a markup screen, constructing an interactive screen, according to an aspect ratio so that a position and a size of some data are properly displayed without distortion. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises an AV regeneration engine(2) and an ENAV engine(3). The AV regeneration engine(2) includes a video converter(21). The ENAV engine(3) includes a markup converter(31), and a video position and screen size controller(32). The video converter(21) converts a video source screen, obtained via an AV data decoding process, according to AV screen selection data set by a user. The markup converter(31) converts a markup source screen obtained from a markup document according to aspect ratio data recorded at the markup document. The video position and screen size controller(32) assembles the markup screen with the video screen to generate an interactive screen. Specially, the position and size of the AV screen is controlled and is assembled with the markup screen according to an instruction recorded at the markup document.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A data storage media, and its regenerating system and method are provided to reconfigure a video screen and a markup screen, constructing an interactive screen, according to an aspect ratio so that a position and a size of some data are properly displayed without distortion. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises several steps. A regeneration system reads AV(Audio Video) screen selection data from display data set by a user(1001). Then, the system reads aspect ratio data recorded at a markup document(1002). In a case that the aspect ratio data is recorded at the markup document, an AV source screen is converted and a markup source screen is converted on a basis of the read AV screen selection data and aspect ratio data(1003, 1004). In a case that the aspect ratio data is not recorded, the AV source screen is converted on a basis of the read AV screen data alone, and the markup source screen is output, while not converted.

PURPOSE: A device for recording and/or editing data securing seamless regeneration between stream objects is provided to regenerate stream objects without discontinuation by using stream object information including seamless information and seamless time control information, and simply realize seamless regeneration without directly rerecording or correcting ATS added to packet data. CONSTITUTION: A regeneration controller(308) regenerates SOB(Stream Object)s and SOBI(Stream Object Information) recorded on a recording medium(306). A counter(304) is driven according to a system clock signal, and is reset by ATS(Arrival Time Stamp) added to a first packet data regenerated by the regeneration controller. A first processor(312) corrects the original ATS of the corresponding SOBs to be continuously regenerated based on the SOBI for providing the corrected ATS or providing a control signal representing a point when the counter is to be reset. In the case of regenerating the SOBs without resetting the counter, a second processor(310) controls output by removing the ATS added to the packet data provided from the regeneration controller based on the corrected ATS. In the case of regenerating the SOBs by resetting the counter, the second processor resets the counter with the ATS of the first packet data of the corresponding SOB and removes the ATS added to the packet data provided from the regeneration controller.

PURPOSE: A thumbnail data recording method is provided to assign a predetermined section of bit streams corresponding to a single program as a thumbnail for record the thumbnail to be played by motion pictures. CONSTITUTION: A thumbnail data recording method includes the steps of recording program including A/V data to an optical disc, recording an ID of the program for defining thumbnail to be played by motion pictures(901), and recording play-starting time data and play-ending time data in the program(902). The play-starting time data and the play-ending time data are recorded as IDs of start frame and last frame of the thumbnail.

PURPOSE: A method for cleaning the slanting surface of a wafer flat zone is provided to reduce a defect caused by a wafer edge by injecting a cleaning solution supplied from the upper and lower portions of the wafer flat zone and inducing the cleaning solution by vacuum so that the flow of the cleaning solution is completed. CONSTITUTION: A wafer(200) is supplied to a chuck. The cleaning solution is injected to at least one part of the upper and lower portion near the wafer flat zone(200a). The cleaning solution is induced to the slanting surface of the wafer flat zone to clean the flat zone portion by using the flow(270) of the cleaning solution.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A device for reproducing AV data in the interactive mode by using markup documents and a method thereof are provided to define the document cycle of a markup document and analyze and perform the markup document according to the defined document cycle. CONSTITUTION: A method for reproducing AV data in the interactive mode by using markup documents includes the steps of initiating a presentation engine as a DVD is loaded to a reproducing system(1201), and setting STARTUP.XML as an output document(1202). A current state is determined according to user's input by the presentation engine. In the case of reproducing state, the STARTUP.XML is analyzed and output to a screen and a script recorded or linked to a markup document is carried out. If a temporal pause button is pressed by a user, the recording is temporarily stopped, so all operations are stopped but receiving user's input for reproducing or stopping. If the user presses a stop button, the reproducing is stopped. At this time, any user's input is received, and the presentation engine stores information required by the markup document to be kept after the stopping in a non-volatile memory.

PURPOSE: A multiple structure focusing device and method are provided for a user to use a limited number of input keys when reproducing interactive contents made by markup language, thereby performing efficient navigation. CONSTITUTION: A multiple structure focusing device displays contents corresponding to a certain focusing layer, and focuses on one of the contents-elements(1101). The device inputs a predetermined command from a user, and analyzes contents of the command(1102). If the command indicates to move the focusing layer to an upper layer, the device confirms whether the upper layer of a current focusing layer exists(1103). If so, the device moves to the upper focusing layer(1104). If the command indicates to move to a lower layer, the device decides whether the currently focused element is linked to a lower focusing layer(1105). If so, the device moves to the lower focusing layer(1106). If the command indicates to move to the same layer, the device moves a focusing to a next contents element(1107). If the command indicates to execute the contents, the device supplies the contents to the user(1108).
Abstract:
An automatic beam limiter circuit (ABL circuit) calculating an average of a video signal at least a portion of the video signal is provided. After a converter circuit converts an analog signal, which is generated from the video signal, to a digital signal, a horizontal and a vertical average circuits calculate a horizontal and vertical averages of the digital signal at least a portion of the digital signal. The portion of the digital signal is a scanned line of the digital signal on a CRT. A comparison circuit compares a first calculation value calculated between a reference value and the vertical average with a second calculation value calculated between the reference value and the horizontal average, and outputs a first comparison signal and a second comparison signal based on the comparison results. A gain control circuit produces a gain control signal for adjusting the brightness/contrast in response to the first comparison and second comparison signals. Advantageously, the automatic beam limiter circuit is capable of efficiently preventing a frame delay in controlling the brightness/contrast of the video signal and the rapid increase of beam current when a black field is rapidly changed into a white field.
