    Abstract: An air conditioner is provided to offset pressure pulsation during combination of refrigerants discharged from two divided discharging refrigerant pipes so as to reduce vibration and noise caused by the pressure pulsation. An air conditioner includes an outdoor unit. The outdoor unit comprises a compressor(11,12), an outdoor heat exchanger, a four-way valve(14), an oil separator(15), and an outdoor expansion valve(17). The compressor compresses a refrigerant. The outdoor heat exchanger exchanges heat with exterior air. The four-way valve receives the refrigerant discharged from the compressor and guides the refrigerant to one of the outdoor unit and an indoor unit selectively for operating a cooling operation or a heating operation. The oil separator separates oil included in the refrigerant at a discharging refrigerant pipe(16) transferring the refrigerant discharged from the compressor to the four-way valve. The outdoor expansion valve lowers pressure and expands the refrigerant for heating.
