Abstract: The present invention provides a sodium-sulfur battery comprising: a unit cell, which is recharged and discharged, including a plate-shaped solid electrolyte for selectively moving sodium ions, a cathode chamber accommodating sulfur and arranged on one surface of the solid electrolyte, an anode chamber accommodating sodium and arranged on the other surface of the solid electrolyte opposite to the cathode chamber, an insulating ring installed around the solid electrolyte to insulate the cathode chamber and the anode chamber, and a cathode plate and an anode plate coupled with the insulating ring to seal the cathode chamber and the anode chamber; an anode container arranged at the outer side of the unit cell to contain sodium; and a sodium circulating part connected between the anode container and the anode chamber of the unit cell to circulate sodium to the anode chamber, so as to increase the safety of the battery and ensure the stability of the battery by completely intercepting the supply of sodium when an electrolyte tube is damaged, wherein a plurality of the unit cells are arranged on top of each other so that the cathode plate can be in contact with the anode plate of an adjacent unit cell, and each of the unit cells is connected to the common cathode container by the sodium circulating part.
