    Abstract: PURPOSE: A vertical light emitting diode and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to prevent the lattice defect of a light emitting unit by forming passivation layers on the both end of a substrate before the light emitting unit is formed. CONSTITUTION: A p-type electrode(250) is formed on a silicon substrate(300). Passivation layers(220) are formed on the both end of the p-type electrode. A light emitting unit(240) is formed by successively depositing an n-type semiconductor layer, an active layer and a p-type semiconductor layer on the p-type electrode. An n-type electrode(260) is formed on a part of the n-type semiconductor layer.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A multichannel OADM(Optical Add-Drop Multiplexer) is provided to extract only a desired random specific channel signal of multichannel signals, and embody various types of wavelength conversion by a number of channels reflected to a sample grating and a number of FBG(Fiber Bragg Grating). CONSTITUTION: A first circulator(211) controls the signal transfer direction of an input terminal(201) and a branch terminal(202). A sampled grating(221) reflects a multi-channel wavelength signal inputted through the first circulator. FBGs(Fiber Bragg Gratings)(222) are input the multi-channel wavelength signal reflected to the sampled grating, and reflect the inputted channel wavelength signal. A second circulator(212) transfers a signal passing through the FBGs and a signal inputted to a coupling terminal(203) to an output terminal(204). A phase shifter(223) is respectively installed in each of FBGs to shift the center wavelength of the FBGs.
