Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for managing a group membership is provided to easily manage a membership in an internet multicast application based on an IP multicast description, and to accurately grasp information on participants who participate in a multicast group by partially extending an SDP, and by providing a GMP which performs a group management function. CONSTITUTION: A group manager client generates group information and transmits the information to a group manager server. The client makes requests for a group registration, and performs the group creation and the group registration. The server officially announces the group created using a multicast group address. A group manager client who knows a group identifier asks the group information of the server and obtains an answer thereof. A group manager client who doesn't know the group identifier joins a public group address and obtains group information received to the group address. The client performs a participant enrollment to the server. The client registered as the participant transmits information on a group leave. The server transmits information on a failure cause to the client. The client divides the request signal into several fragment messages.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for managing session membership in internet multicast application is provided to strictly manage membership without modifying old multicast applications largely by providing operation mechanism for the expanded function together with the partial expansion of SAP(Session Announcement Protocol) and SDP(Session Description Protocol). CONSTITUTION: Protocols for strict session membership management consists of user applications(11), a MTP(Multicast Transport Protocol)(12), a RMP(Reliable Multicast Protocol)(13), a MFTP(Multicast File Transfer Protocol)(14), an expanded SAP and SDP for strict membership management(15), a UDP(User Datagram Protocol)(16), a TCP(17), an ECTP(Enhanced Communications Transport Protocol)(18) and an IP multicast(19). The MTP(12), the RMP(13), the MFTP(14) and the ECTP(18) all are the multicast reliable transfer protocols of transport hierarchy. Strict membership management and the reliable multicast transfer protocols operate mutually for effective group management.

Abstract: 월드 와이드 웹(World Wide Web)에서 웹 자원의 물리적인 위치가 변경되거나 삭제되었을 때, 해당 웹 자원을 가리키고 있던 하이퍼링크가 끊어져 버리는 링크 파손 문제가 발생하여 원하는 웹 서비스를 이용할 수 없게 된다.
이와 같은 하이퍼링크 파손의 문제는 웹 자원의 물리적 위치나 정보와 무관한 논리적인 이름으로 웹 자원에 접근하면 해결될 수 있다.
본 발명에서는 웹 자원을 광역적으로 지정할 수 있는 논리적 이름의 구조를 고안하였다. 본 발명에서 고안한 웹 자원을 위한 논리적 이름 구조에 따라 웹 자원을 명명하고, 논리적 이름을 사용하여 웹 자원에 접근하면 하이퍼링크 파손의 문제가 해결될 수 있다.-
