Abstract: 계층적 이동아이피에서의 핸드오버방법이 개시된다. 제1라우터의 통신영역으로부터 제2라우터의 통신영역으로 이동하는 이동노드로부터 제2라우터의 네트워크 식별정보를 포함하는 라우터정보를 요청하는 요구메시지를 수신하고, 라우터정보를 포함하는 응답메시지를 생성하여 이동노드로 전송한다. 그리고, 네트워크 식별정보를 기초로 이동노드의 새로운 위치정보를 포함하는 CoA(Care-of Address)를 생성하고, 제1라우터로 전송하는 패킷을 제2라우터로 포워딩(forwarding)하도록 하는 포워딩 명령을 이동노드로부터 수신한 후 제2라우터와 양방향 터널(bidirectional tunnel)을 설정한다. 이로써, 계층적 이동 아이피(Hierarchial Mobile IP)를 이용하여 빠른 핸드오버(handover)를 지원하고, 핸드오버 수행시 CN/HA로부터 이동노드로 전달되는 패킷의 전송 단계를 종래기술보다 줄임으로써 패킷전달의 지연 및 대역폭 낭비를 방지한다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A routing apparatus for assuring internet quality of service and its method are provided to assure internet quality of service between a transmitter and a receiver by transmitting data after setting a path on each router in advance with a QoS data rate requested before data transmission. CONSTITUTION: According to the routing apparatus for assuring internet quality of service, a transmitter QoS edge routing unit(122) completes the first path setting with a QoS data rate to a next node by a path set signaling, and then transmits data through the first path source-reserved with a QoS data rate according to a data transmission request with the QoS data rate from a transmitter node(111). At least more than one QoS core routing unit(121) completes the second path setting with a QoS data rate to a next node by a path setting signaling by receiving information as to the QoS data rate from the transmitter QoS edge routing unit, and then transmits data through the source-reserved path with the QoS data rate according to the data transmission request with the QoS data rate from the transmitter QoS edge routing unit. And a receiver QoS edge routing unit(123) completes the third path setting with a QoS data rate to a next node by a path setting signaling by receiving the information as to the QoS data rate from the QoS core routing unit, and then transmits data to a receiver node(131) through the third path source-reserved with the QoS data rate according to the data transmission request with the QoS data rate from the QoS core routing unit.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for managing a group membership is provided to easily manage a membership in an internet multicast application based on an IP multicast description, and to accurately grasp information on participants who participate in a multicast group by partially extending an SDP, and by providing a GMP which performs a group management function. CONSTITUTION: A group manager client generates group information and transmits the information to a group manager server. The client makes requests for a group registration, and performs the group creation and the group registration. The server officially announces the group created using a multicast group address. Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for constructing and managing an Internet-based overlay multicast tree is provided to construct a balanced overlay multicast tree by determining an optimum parent node for a receiver on a basis of network and tree information. CONSTITUTION: When a session starts, a tree manager performs an initialization by detecting a subnet of a transmitter and generation session information(100). Each agent or a receiver who intends to participate in the session transmits a tree connection request message to the tree manager(200). The tree manager determines a suitable parent agent and informs the participant accordingly(300). Upon receiving information on an upper node as determined from the tree manager, the participant sets a data channel to the corresponding parent node(400). Agents, among participants, transmit a tree state report message to the tree manager at every certain periods while the session is being performed(500).

Abstract: A method for performing handover in a hierarchical mobile IP is provided to prevent delay of packet transmission and waste of bandwidth by reducing the number of the stages for transmitting packets to a mobile node from a CN(Correspondent Node)/HA(Home Agent). When an MN(Mobile Node)(350) moves from a communication area of a PAR to a communication area of an NAR(Next Access Router)(330), it receives second layer trigger information(S300). The MN(350) transmits an information request message related to the NAR(330) to an MAP(310)(S305). The MAP(310) generates a CoA(S310), generates a response message including the CoA, and transmits it to the MN(350)(S315). The MN(350) transmits a command for forwarding a packet, which was subjected to be transmitted from a CN/HA to a PAR, from the MAP(310) to the NAR(330)(S320). The MAP(310) sets a BT(Bidirectional Tunnel) toward the NAR(330)(S325) and transmits a CoA verification message to the NAR(330)(S330). The NAR(330) checks whether a value of the CoA is valid and transmits a result message to the MAP(310)(S335). The MAP(310) transmits a CoA verification result to the MN(350)(S340). As the MN(350) moves from the communication area of the PAR to the communication area of the NAR(330), connection of the MN(350) to the PAR is released(S345). When the MAP(310) receives a packet, it forwards the packet to the NAR(330)(S350). The NAR(330) buffers the forwarded packet in a temporary storage unit(S355). When the MN(350) enters the communication area of the NAR(330), it transmits a connection setup message to the NAR(330)(S360).
