Abstract: PURPOSE: A portable software based on a single executable file using an application file system and an operating method thereof are provided to supply a customized mobile working environment to users by storing mobile software to mobile storage devices. CONSTITUTION: When a mobile software is executed, an execution engine unit(110) extracts an execution engine. A virtual library unit(120) stores a virtual execution library extracted by the execution engine. An image information unit(140) stores an execution file extracted by the execution engine. The execution engine creates an application process by combining the virtual execution library with the execution file. According to user level hooking, the virtual execution library controls the process path of a system function called from the application process.

Abstract: A system and a method for providing integrated software management are provided to enable the provision of a convenient usage environment by integratedly managing various types of contents and application with a single user interface. A computer(100) executes various types of application(110), such as a host application(111), a web-based application(112), a non-installation packaged application(113), a streaming application(114), an SBC(Server-Based Computing) application(115). Further, the computer stores various types of contents created, edited, or reproduced by the applications. An integrated application platform(120) is associated with the computer so that it integratedly manages the application and allows a user to execute the application or contents in same manner irrespective of each application deployment. An integrated application platform includes a user interface(121) which receives the inputs from a user, an integrated application service module(122), a plurality of linkage modules(123-127), a plurality of application execution/management engines(129-132), and a database(128). The user interface provides an integrated execution environment to a user of the computer, and allows a user to execute applications, which are driven in different application deployment, in a single manner with a single interface. The integrated application service module maintains the list of available applications, information about application deployment and driving mechanism with the database, and controls the overall operation of the integrated application platform. The linkage modules collect the application information from the respectively interlinked application execution engines and transfer the collected information to the integrated application service module. And, the linkage modules transfer an application execution request to each of the interlinked application execution engines.

Abstract: An apparatus and a method for providing an online software are provided to enable a user to search for an online software over a network without passing plural search procedures like a conventional HTTP based search scheme and to use the searched software by giving a unique ID to the software. An apparatus for providing an online software includes a user terminal(10), a software name server(20) and a software search server(30). The user terminal installs a browser which enables a user to access internet and to search for wanted information. The software name server, made of plural software name server systems via a connected chain structure, registers and manages a specific online software information. The software search server accesses the software name server and searches for corresponding software information when the user requests information on a specific online software via the user terminal. Then the user terminal accesses a software repository where the specific online software by using the software information searched from the software name server, and uses the online software.
