Abstract:
A method for providing mobility of a mobile node in a packet transport network, and a packet transport network system are provided. The packet transport network system includes a plurality of gateway switches configured in a plurality of packet transport access networks to connect a packet transport core network and transmit/receive a packet to/from a certain terminal via a certain access switch. When the certain terminal moves, each gateway switch updates a tunnel mapping and management table according to the movement of the certain terminal, allocates a pre-set tunnel by using information included in the tunnel mapping and management table, and transmits/receives a packet to/from a counterpart terminal via the allocated tunnel. Thus, a packet loss and delay due to the influence of handover occurring when the mobile node moves between networks can be minimized and the handover procedure can be simplified.

이더넷 링 네트워크의 비환원 모드에서의 장애 복구 방법이 개시된다. 이더넷 링 네트워크에서 각 노드의 맥 주소를 기반으로 각 노드 사이의 링크 우선순위 값을 설정하거나 노드의 우선 순위를 설정하여, 그 우선순위 값을 기준으로 장애 복구 후 폐색 포트를 가지는 노드를 결정함으로써, 폐색 포트 선정의 분산이 가능하다.

Abstract:
An apparatus for transmitting failure information between an Ethernet and an SDH network and a method therefor are provided to transmit OAM information to other networks using an existing MAC control frame in interfacing between an Ethernet and an SDH network when there is failure on the Ethernet or the SDH network, thereby operating and managing an EoS(Ethernet over SDH) network effectively. A frame transceiving unit(10) transceives an Ethernet frame through plural optical transceiving ports and detects the failure of a physical link. An MAC(Media Access Control) processing unit(20) reads the header information of the Ethernet frame received by the frame transceiving unit to detect an OAM(Operations, Administration and Maintenance) frame and status information by port, and generates an OAM frame using status information by port and transmits the generated OAM frame to the Ethernet through the frame transceiving unit. An SDH(Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) processing unit(30) receives status and failure information about the Ethernet to generate a corresponding SDH OAM frame. An output interface unit(40) receives the frame generated in the SDH processing unit and outputs the received frame to an SDH network. A signal processing unit(60) receives the failure information detected in the frame transceiving unit to generate a corresponding OAM signal, and transfers status and failure information on a network for generating the SDH OAM frame generation information from the OAM frame generated in the MAC processing unit to the SDH processing unit.

A range matching search method using a CAM(Content Address Memory) and an apparatus thereof are provided to effectively perform searching by using the entire 5-tuple, and to be immediately applied for an IPv6 system. The first search table(100) discriminates a rule as the first and second search units, and stores information corresponding to the first search unit in each entry. The second search table(200) stores information corresponding to the second search unit in each entry. A control module(300) extracts the first search key of an input frame to search the first search table, extracts the second search key to search the second search table in order to find the same entry. The first search unit is a transmission IP address and a reception IP address of 5-tuple information, and the second search unit is a transmission port, a reception port and a protocol number.

An Ethernet-based stand-alone type network security system is provided to enable a manager to easily manage a system by mounting a storage unit for storing a huge amount of log information for system monitoring. A control processing unit(200) controls an operation of an overall system and manages a state of the system. A network processing unit(300) performs a traffic management function by interworking with the control processing unit, and outputs switching/routing path information obtained by performing the traffic management function to a corresponding line interface or a monitor interface, or perform a reverse function. An Ethernet physical layer unit(400) includes a line interface connected with an external network and a monitor interface(741) connected with the control processing unit, restores a line interface signal or a monitor interface signal to a physical layer signal, and transfers the restored signal to the network processing unit, or performs a reverse function. A storage unit(500) receives log information for system monitoring from the control processing unit, and stores the same.

An apparatus and a method for informing about an OAM(Operation, Administration and Maintenance) failure in an Ethernet are provided to construct a carrier Ethernet as well as an LAN and a metro network with guaranteed connectivity by providing an Ethernet OAM failure notification function. An MEP(Maintenance End Point) of a physical layer level periodically generates a CC(Continuity Check) frame for checking a connection state of an Ethernet(S210). Each MEP checks whether the CC frames generated by different MEPs have been normally received(S220). If a CC frame is not received, the MEP periodically generates an AIS(Alarm Indication Signal) frame and transmits it to a client equipment of the opposite side of a failure-occurred point(S230). Upon receiving the AIS frames, the MEPs transmit the AIS frames to an adjacent node of an upper level(S240,S250). When the MEP has received the AIS frame, it transmits the AIS frame to an adjacent node of a level to which the MEP itself belongs(S260,S270). The process is repeatedly performed until the AIS frame reaches a client level(S280). When the AIS frame reaches the client level and a failure generation is notified, a failure verification is performed and a necessary measure is taken(S290).

A QoS-guaranteed switched router system is provided to construct a QoS-guaranteed network without having to change an existing Internet access network in constructing a broadband convergence network by providing flow-based packet classification and intelligent congestion control. The first and second line processing units(11,12) perform flow-based processing on an Internet protocol or multi-protocol label switch packet selectively received through a line interface of an n-gigabit Ethernet having the m number of ports or an m-gigabit Ethernet having the n number of ports according to each application. An application processing unit(13) downloads a booting process and software load data of the first and second line processing units(11,12), manages a system including alarm, log, statistics and performance monitoring by collecting management information from the first and second line processing units, and provides an external interface that is able to manage the system.
