    Abstract: A method and an apparatus for manufacturing a rapidly solidified alloy ribbon are provided, wherein the rapidly solidified alloy ribbon can solve a non-uniform distribution problem of alloy elements generated in a conventional powder mixing process, and the rapidly solidified alloy ribbon is used to manufacture an Al cylinder liner with uniform and excellent quality by effectively imparting a uniform structure to a final product. An apparatus for manufacturing an Al alloy material having high Si content for an aluminum liner of an engine block comprises a melting crucible(10) installed in a high frequency induction furnace, a stopper(12) for opening and closing an outlet(11) formed on a lower part of the melting crucible, a nitrogen gas feeder(13) installed on an upper part of the melting crucible to apply a pressure into the melting crucible to discharge molten metal(16), and a metal rotation body(14) disposed adjacent to the bottom of the outlet of the melting crucible to rapidly solidify molten metal that comes in contact with a surface of the metal rotation body. The metal rotation body is formed in the type of a single roll or a twin roll.
