Abstract: An eight-speed power train for an automatic transmission is provided to shorten the shift time and improve the shift feeling by changing any one of two operation elements at change of speed. In case of reverse 1-speed, a second clutch(C2) and a first brake(B1) are operated, and in case of forward 1-speed, a first clutch(C1) and the first brake are operated. In case of forward 2-speed, the first clutch and a second brake(B2) are operated, and in case of forward 3-speed, the first clutch and the second clutch are operated. In case of forward 4-speed, the first clutch and a third clutch(C3) are operated, and in case of forward 5-speed, the third clutch and a fourth clutch(C4) are operated. Abstract: An 8-speed power train of an automatic transmission is provided to improve a speed shifting feeling by realizing eight forward speeds and one backward speed using a pair of Ravigneaux gear sets. A first Ravigneaux planetary gear set(DPG1) includes first and second linear gears(S1,S2), first to third planetary carriers(PC1-PC3), and first and second ring gears(R1,R2). Abstract: PURPOSE: An air breather for a transmission of a vehicle is provided to prevent oil from the transmission from leaking out by separating air from oil efficiently and completely with the air breather. CONSTITUTION: An air breather is composed of a breather body(12) combined with the transmission, and a cap(14) combined with the upper part of the breather body. A first space part(18) and a second space part(20) are formed in the upper part of the breather body, and communicated by an air passage(16). A first piston(28) is combined with the first space part to open and close the air passage with sliding according to internal pressure of the transmission, and a second piston is combined with the second space part with sliding according to air from the air passage. Oil leak is prevented by separating air from oil efficiently with returning oil from the air passage through oil return holes to the first space part. Separated air is discharged through fine holes of the cap, and oil is collected to the oil return holes during traveling. A lid is opened by restoring force of the spring with lowering internal pressure in the transmission at a stop of a vehicle, and oil from the oil return holes is returned through the first space part to the transmission.
