Abstract: PURPOSE:To measure and correct the shift angle of the orthogonality in the detection of a vector and to enhance measuring stability by increasing the number of bits of the output of a phase accumulator and making a phase variable with high accuracy and high dissolving power using a sign memory having a relatively narrow address space or a D/A converter of relatively low resolving power. CONSTITUTION:A phase accumulator (PA) 43 accumulates and adds l-bit output at every clock of a clock generator 12. The l-bit output of the PA 43 is added to l-bit offset data P by an adder 44 and the host k-bit in this output is supplied to a sign memory 14 as an address. The host k-bit in the l-bit output of the PA 43 passes through sign memories 25, 26 as an address to be supplied to latch circuits 28, 31 as a latch command. The output of a multiplier 38 is multiplied by sin theta by a multiplier 45 and the multiplying output thereof is added to the output of a multipler 39 by an adder 46 and 1/cos theta is multiplied by a multiplier 47 and the output thereof becomes imaginary output IM. The multipliers 45, 47 and the adder 46 constitute a correction operation part 48 and the shift of orthogonality or the non-coincidence of the constants of D/A converters 32, 33 is calibrated.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a generator of such a signal that can assure the highest accuracy of analysis of a high-speed Fourier conversion analyzer, by providing a clock generating means, etc. which generates a clock signal which is synchronous with an external clock.
CONSTITUTION: A clock generating means generates a clock signal which is synchronous with an external clock. For instance, an external clock is supplied through a terminal 21 and then converted into a high frequency clock by a frequency converter 22. Then a frequency divider 23 divides the frequency in response to the set value of a frequency converter 22. For the output of the divider 23, the frequency is divided by a frequency divider 25 in response to the set value of a zoom coefficient setting part 26. Then the output of the divider 23 is supplied to an address counter 28 via a changeover switch 27. A waveform memory 29 reads out a waveform as the digital value in response to the set value of a selector 31, and this output is latched by a latching circuit 32 synchronously with the output of the divider 25. This latched output is converted into an analog signal by a D/A converting circuit 33.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for monitoring a radio waves, which is capable of improving the efficiency of radio wave monitoring by reducing time for preparing a database by a radio wave propagation simulation. SOLUTION: The patterns of the arrival direction and strength of a radio wave are observed by a sensor station 12a. The observation result by the sensor station 12a is compared with the simulation result of the patterns of the arrival directions and strength of radio waves which are observed at a plurality of other points when the radio waves are emitted from the sensor station 12a. Of the plurality of the observation points, the point which gives the pattern of the arrival direction and strength of a radio wave having the highest correlation with the observation result by the sensor station 12a is determined as an objective radio wave emission source.

The drift quantity of sampling is calculated based on the spurious spectrum generated by the drift of the position of the probe and the measuring timing, and the distribution of the electric field or magnetic field is measured in consideration of this drift quantity.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a dead angle, to realize a 360 deg. visual field angle and to evaluate the propagation of radio waves and sound waves at a real time by using a fixed sensor and a scanning sensor, which conducts a circumferential scanning and obtaining the interference of the signals received by both of the sensors while moving the scanning sensor. SOLUTION: A radiated wave motion is made to a first received signal by receiving the radiated wave motion with a first sensor while the first sensor is scanned on the circumference. A radiated wave motion is made to a second received signal by receiving the radiated wave motion with a second sensor located at a position without changing to the center of the circumference. Then, the both received signals are interferred with each other to obtain interferred signals and the interferred signals are detected to obtain the measured data at each point. That is, as represented by the expression, a point on the circumference is represented by a rotational angle ϕ, the radius of the circle is called r, the imaginary unit is represented by j, the circular constant is called π, the rotational angle of the center position is called ϕ', the wavelength of the radiated wave motion is called λ, the incident angle of the radiated wave motion is called θ and a weighting function is called W(ϕ). Based on the measured data E2 (r, ϕ) at each point, an evaluation function V(ϕ') is calculated and a bearing ϕ' of the radiated wave motion is estimated.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate the three-dimensional directivity of the basic station antenna in mobile communication, for example, accurately under operating state even in an urban environment where buildings are arranged intricately. SOLUTION: An observation point is located at a position where a primary wave source, i.e., an antenna to be measured, can be observed. The direct wave from the primary wave source and the reflected wave are then received and the three-dimensional coordinates and the intensity are determined for the primary wave source and a mirror image wave source corresponding to the reflected wave by two frequency hologram observation (Step 101). Subsequently, the azimuth and the incident angle of reflection point corresponding to the mirror image wave source viewed from the primary wave source are determined for each mirror image wave source (Step 102). Finally, a reflection coefficient is determined from the incident angle at that reflection point, and the like, for each reflection point and the intensity of mirror image wave source is multiplied by the reciprocal of the reflection coefficient thus determining the antenna directivity in the direction of that reflection point for the primary wave source.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a miniaturized and lightened linear polarizing probe antenna which can be used for exactly measuring spatial electromagnetic field distribution on microwave frequency band and improves polarization selectivity. SOLUTION: When a central use wavelength is defined as λ, a coaxial cable 12 is passed through a reflector 11 so that the top end of coaxial cable 12 can be protruded just for λ/4 and at this through part, the external conductor of coaxial cable 12 is electrically connected with the reflector 11. At the protruded part, a slit part 74 is provided and the external conductor is divided into two parts of external conductor elements 12a and 12b. The root of one element 13a of dipole antenna 13 is connected with the top end of one external conductor element 12a and a central conductor 12c of coaxial cable and another element 13b is connected to the top end of the other external conductor element 12b so that balancing can be constituted by one external conductor element 12a. In this case, it is not necessary to provide the reflector 11.
