SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire has a belt 7 formed of two or more layers of belt layers 7a, 7b and treads 8 formed on the outer peripheral side of the belt 7. The peripheral grooves 9, 11 continuously extending in a tread peripheral direction are formed in a tread surface 8a. The auxiliary belt layers 12 composed of the biaxial fabrics 11 are arranged on outer sides of the belt 7 in respective tread side areas.     Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light pneumatic radial tire capable of keeping high spped durability while suppressing separation between a cord and rubber in a circumferential belt layer or occurrence of break of the cord. SOLUTION: A gradient belt layer 20A provides in-surface bending rigidity for a tread part 16, and the tread part can endure a transverse force during cornering. The circumferential belt layer 20B including an organic fiber cord 21 substantially parallel to a tire equator surface CL provides circumferential rigidity for the tread part 16 to hold inner pressure and provides high high-speed durability. Circumferential residual tension of the tire per width 5 cm of the circumferential belt layer 20B is set from 45 kgf to 400 kgf, so that radial growth during high speed rotation is smaller, standing wave occurrence speed is also suppressed, a good effect is given to high speed durability of the tire, the separation between the organic fiber cord 21 and the coating rubber or the break of the organic fiber cord 21 due to long usage can be suppressed.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire capable of increasing bead unseating resistance, while reducing the weight and holding high-speed durability. SOLUTION: A tread part 16 provides the in-plane bending rigidity by an inclined belt layer 20A arranged with a steel cord 19 slantly extending relative to a tire equator face CL so as to endure a lateral force in cornering. The tread part 16 provides the circumferential rigidity by a circumferential belt layer 20B arranged with an organic fiber cord 21 substantially in parallel to the tire equator face CL so as to secure the internal pressure and provide the high high-speed durability. A reinforcing layer 22 including the organic fiber cord is provided along a winding-up part 14B of the carcass 14 so that the lateral rigidity of the tire side part is increased, the bead unseating resistance can be increased, and the bead part 11 can be surely held to the rim in acting a large lateral force thereto.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve cutting resistance of a belt and fatigue resistance of a cord of an outermost cord layer by causing the outermost cord layer to have a width extending beyond the outermost edges of outermost circumferential grooves toward the ends of a tread, and causing rubber covering the cord of the outermost cord layer to have a modulus of compression elasticity that is equal to or higher than a particular value. SOLUTION: A cord 8a of an outermost cord layer 8 has an inclination angle β ranging from 45 deg. to 115 deg., and preferably, from 50 deg. to 100 deg., with respect to a plane P of a cord 7a of an intermediate cord layer 7, as measured in the same direction as that in which an inclination angle α from the plane P is measured. Rubber 8b covering the cord 8a of the outermost cord layer 8 has a modulus of compression elasticity that is equal to or higher than 200 kgf/cm. A width Lb1 of the outermost cord layer 8 is larger than a distance Lg between planes P1, P2 which are parallel to the plane P and pass through respective outermost edges of respective circumferential grooves 11. In other words, it is ensured that lateral ends 8E of the outermost cord layer 8 are located outside the respective planes P1, P2 within the tire.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability while maintaining and improving general tire performance such as cornering performance in a pneumatic radial tire for heavy load with a belt formed of three cord layers to reduce weight. SOLUTION: The outer periphery of a crown part of a toroidally extended radial carcass is provided with a belt 5 formed of three cord layers 6-8 coated with rubber, of which the innermost cord layer 6 and intermediate cord layer 7 form an intersecting belt layer 9. The layout angles of cords 6a, 7a of the innermost cord layer 6 and intermediate cord layer 7 to a plane 10 are in a range of 10-25 deg.. The layout angle of cords 8a of the outermost cord layer 8 is in a range of 45-115 deg. measuring in the direction of measuring the layout angle of the cords 7a of the intermediate cord layer 7 from the plane 10. The elastic modulus of coating rubber 8b of the outermost cord layer 8 is to be 200 kgf/mm or more.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain cracks of rubber by setting the volume elastic modulus of coating rubber of an aligned wires to the specified value or more, and forming a rubber layer adjacent to a circurating belt layer or a boundary at which a coating rubber of the belt layer is adjacent to a read rubber layer by means of an interface having an irregular shape in the vicinity of a groove part of the tread rubber layer. SOLUTION: Interfaces 11 to 14 between a base rubber layer 10 and a tread rubber layer 8, or interfaces 11 to 14 between cord coating rubber of a circurating belt layer 7 and the tread rubber layer 8 when there is no base rubber layer, are formed into an irregular shape such as a waveform 12, a step 13 and a waveform step 14. The irregular shape requires at least three chevron and valley parts per 10mm, and progress of cracks can be easily restrained in the distribution in which there are many irregularities. It is desirable that the volume elastic modulus of 200kgf/mm or more of the coating rubber of aligning wires of the belt layer 7 is required, more preferably. 500kgf/ mm . A steel filament is easily moved in the lower volume elastic modulus, and viscosity of rubber is too increased in the higher one.

The cord of the periphery direction belt layer 7 is composed of a fibers such as polyethylene terephthalate and nylon and has a double twine structure and its total denier number DT is in a range of 1000d-6000d and when the twine number of this cord is T and its specific weight is ρ, a twine coefficient Nt represented by a formula Nt=T×(0.139×DT/2×1/ρ) ×10 is set in a range of 0.3 or less at the polyethylene terephthalate fiber or nylon fiber and 0.5 or less at the polyethylene naphthalate fiber and 0.6 or less at the vinylon fiber.
