Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the corrosion problem of the metal of a wire bonding part of a recording head for bubble jet recording (registered trade name) to enable the use of the head over a long period even with an ink containing a large amount of electrolyte and having high acidity. SOLUTION: The ink for ink jet recording is composed of water, a coloring agent having a cationic group and a hydrophilic organic solvent. The ink further contains at least an acid and ammonium ion and has pH of 3-7. This invention further provides an ink jet recording method using the ink.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer image data storing information on the accident to an external safe place, and to implement a low cost adoptable for a popular car. SOLUTION: When a driver 1 drives an automobile 2 and a cellular phone 3 is set in a connection box 5, an operational control portion 10 instructs a CCD camera 4 to sequentially take picture image of outer circumstances, so that the picture image data are transmitted and stored in a data storage portion 11 of the connection box 5. In case of an accident during driving the automobile 2, the operational control portion 10 detects the operation of an impact sensor 6, the cellular phone 3 set in the connection box 5 calls for a data recording center 7 and transmits all of the picture image data stored in the data storage portion 11. The operational control portion 10 makes the cellular phone 3 notify the police 9 of the accident after a predetermined time has passed, while the cellular phone 3 is set in the connection box 5 although the lock of the connection box 5 is released.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of polluting a recording device by a waste ink in the case a certain degree or more of the negative pressure is applied to a gas permeating member at the time the ink liquid surface in a storage ink tank reaches the gas permeating member so as to break the gas permeating member and loose the function of separating a gas and a liquid so that a large amount of an ink is suctioned from the tank, leading to waste of the ink, and resulting in inflow of the ink into a suction pump so as to break the suction pump. SOLUTION: In an ink-jet recording device having an ink tank capable of supplying an ink to an ink-jet recording head via an ink supply opening by introduction of a negative pressure to the inside, and a gas and liquid separating means allowing passage of a gas but not passage of an ink, disposed at the suction opening for introducing a negative pressure for suctioning and replenishing the ink, a certain negative pressure generating means functioning for preventing application of a negative pressure of a certain degree or more, is provided in the gas and liquid separating means between the gas liquid separating means and a negative pressure source for suctioning and replenishing the ink.
