Abstract: PURPOSE:To form a well-focused image even when a bulky book having a sewing allowance is transferred by providing a transparent rotating cylinder rotating along the upper surface of an original placed upwardly and irradiating light from a light source disposed in the cylinder to the original. CONSTITUTION:A spring 4 acting as pushing up the original 1 is installed below a bottom plate 3 in a book cassette box 2. At the time of exposure, the original 1 and the book cassette box 2 move on a movable original platen in the direction of an arrow to read the original 1. At this time, the original 1 is irradiated by two light sources 5 installed in the transparent cylinder 17, while it is pressed by the cylinder 17 rotating at a velocity the same as the moving speed of the original platen, and the light reflected by the original is led to a photosensitive drum through a mirror 6. Since the irregularity on the original 1 moves in the same way as the reading part of the transparent cylinder 17 due to the pressure of the spring 4, a clear well-focused transfer image can be obtained.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To vary an input mode by forming a means for detecting whether an input indicator is almost vertical or inclined and outputting the detected result. CONSTITUTION:A hollow sphere 103 is fixed on the inside of a pen shaft 102 of the input indicator 101. Two contacts 104 separated by a prescribed distance d105 are fixed on the inside of the sphere 103 in the pen point direction and drawn out to the outside of the pen through lead wires 106 respectively. The inside of the sphere 103 is filled with mercury 107 to detect the inclination of the pen shaft 102. When said structure is added to a pen to be exclusively used for a digitizer, a mode for inputting characters and graphics with the inclined pen and a mode for inputting the characters and graphics with the erected pen can be discriminated. Namely, the input mode can be varied by the inclination of the input indicator.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To read complicated characters, graphic forms etc. on a blackboard etc. clearly by attaching at least one of an image forming optical system and a one-dimensional image sensor to allow oscillation around an axis parallel to a photodetecting element of the image sensor. CONSTITUTION:When a camera body 1103 is oscillated vertically around a fulcrum 1104, the image of a mural picture on a blackboard, etc. is formed on the light receiving part of a one-dimensional CCD sensor 1102 as plural horizontal line picture in time series. The line picture image of which is formed by the one-dimensional CCD sensor 1102 is resolved into plural dot picture signals. On the other hand, the necessary number of picture elements of the one-dimensional CCD sensor is 2000 when resolving in the horizontal direction is considered. As there are some which have picture elements more than this, even fine characters and complicated characters can be reproduced when copying.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reproduce a multi-value picture at a high speed by connecting the number of shift registers inputting/outputting in parallel a data for bit number's share in response to the gradation number by the corresponding number to dot forming elements so as to transfer data in response to the gradation number in parallel. CONSTITUTION:When a data outputted from a serial output terminal QD' of the shift registers 104-1-104-5 is logical 1, an output of corresponding LED drivers 103-1-103-5 is zero and the output terminal is connected to common, then the corresponding LED101-1 101-5 are lighted. On the other hand, when no data is outputted from the terminal QD', the corresponding LED101-1-101-5 remain extinguished. Thus, the LED101-1 generates optical energy by the time corresponding to 3/4 of the maximum lighting time, the LED101-2 generates optical energy over the maximum lighting time and the LED101-3 is not lighted at all and generates no optical energy. Thus, a picture having a density corresponding to the input picture signal is reproduced on a recording paper sheet.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain such a hard copy that part of an original image is erased optionally by providing a means which erasing part of the original image in a desired area in an image forming process with an erasure signal inputted according to a marker position. CONSTITUTION:When the erasure signal is inputted from a keyboard 3a during exposure scanning, the erasure signal is transferred to a controller 35 through an I/O port 34. A delay circuit 38 is provided in the controller 35 and a clock start signal from an image forming means 1 and said erasure signal are inputted through an AND gate 39. In this case, there is a delay of time (t) until the exposure point when the erasure signal is inputted reaches a black point as the irradiation position of a blank lamp. The delay circuit 38 delays a blank turn- on signal by said delay time and outputs it to the control circuit 8 of the image forming means 1 to turn on the blank lamp. Consequently, part of a latent image on a photosensitive body corresponding to where the erasure signal is inputted from the keyboard 3a is discharged to erase the latent image, thereby obtaining a partially removed copy.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent generation of white or black stripes at a printing-out time to obtain a clear image by setting space frequency characteristics of a focusing system so that a photosensitive area of a photosensitive body due to lighting of each bright point coincides with the size corresponding to one bright point of a divided image. CONSTITUTION:When every other one out of LEDs adjacent to one another is lit, that is, light emitting faces 601-1 and 601-3 are allowed to emit light but a light emitting face 601-2 is not allowed to emit light, the optical energy distribution on a photosensitive drum 101 is as shown by 903 in figure. If the focusing system is defocused and MTF is degraded to make the optical energy distribution on the surface of the drum uneveness in this manner, coloring states for printing-out in case of full lighting and thinned-out lighting approximate an ideal coloring state though an image forming exposure device where the width of light non-emitting face is relatively larger than that of a light emitting face is used. That is, a photosensitive area (coloring area D) due to lighting of each bright point coincides with the size corresponding to one bright point of the divided image.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a sharp hard copy by providing a means which brings an original retaining plate and a liquid crystal display plate into tight contact with each other according to need or forming a slight space between the two plates. CONSTITUTION:A liquid crystal display plate 2 is attached freely relatively turnably and openably or closably by means of a hinge H to an regular original retaining plate 1. An arm 31 is preferably freely oscillatably disposed to the liquid crystal display plate and the free end side thereof is provided to the plate 2 and is inserted into a loose hole. A projection 31a for stoppering is provided on the outside of said arm. The plate 1 and the plate 2 are further so arranged that both plates can be fixed in tight contact with each other by hook pairs 32a, 32b. A sharp hard copy is thus obtd. and since each position of the surface to be copied is preliminarily checked by observation, miscopying is prevented.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the operativity of image formation by providing a control means which converts and controls image information according to whether the image formation is performed or not on the basis of the image information. CONSTITUTION:A liquid-crystal panel display device 3 of, for example, A3 size incorporates RAM, and re-stores data transferred from internal RAM20 stored with binary video data 15 transferred externally and reads then periodically to drive respective cells of liquid crystal, displaying a still image. A 20-bit address counter 21, on the other hand, controls writing to a video memory 20 and reading to liquid-crystal RAM3. Output signals consisting of low-order 10 digit bits 9 and high-order 10 digit bits 10 are inputted to multiplexers 11 and 22 respectively and selected with a switching signal 13 to address the video memory. The output 9 of the multiplexer 22 is inputted to an adder 23, and the video memory 20 is addressed (X coordinate) after a specific value is added. Further, an Y coordinate of the video memory 20 is addressed on the basis of the output 12 of the multiplexer 11. Consequently, a display (a) of A3 size is displayed by being converted into a display (e) of A4 size.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve image density by providing a means for controlling the image density for obtaining a desired density and a means for controlling the image processing to obtain an adequate density irrespectively of the kind of an original and enabling the control by the adjusting means irrespectively of the control operation by the control means. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive drum 1 rotates in an arrow 2 direction and light sources 3 and 20 and mirrors 4, 5 move in an arrow 6 direction, by which the light image of an original 8 is exposed on the drum 1. On the other hand the drum 1 is destaticized by a destaticizing electrostatic charger 11 and the surface thereof is charged by a primary charger 13. The above-described exposure is accomplished simultaneously with the reversely charged by a secondary charger 14 and the drum surface is illuminated by a lamp 15, by which an electrostatic latent image is formed on the surface of the drum 1. The image is developed by a developing device 16 by which the visible image is obtd. The visible image formed by the toner passing between a transfer charger 17 and the drum 1 is transferred by the charger 17 and when paper passes through a fixing device 18, the image is fixed onto the paper. The image density when the image is copied by moving a lever 19 to a suitable position according to the density of the original is adjustable on an operation panel.
