    Abstract: PURPOSE:To uniform the temperature of the panel and to reduce the influence of a temperature difference even if the temperature difference is generated nearby the panel by providing a heat conductor with high heat conductivity on the back surface of the panel. CONSTITUTION:An electrode group of transparent electrodes ITO (Indiu Thin Oxide) 102 is formed on a substrate 101 in a specific pattern and an electrode group of transparent electrodes 102' crossing the transparent electrodes 102 is formed on a substrate 101'. An orientation control film 105 formed by using an inorganic insulating material such as silicon monoxide and silicon dioxide and an organic insulating material such as polyvinyl alcohol and polyimide is provided on the substrate 101', and the orientation control film 105 is obtained by rubbing its surface against velvet, cloth, and paper in one direction after the film formation. The heat conductor 110 is formed on the back surface of the substrate 101 and ITO of 1mum in thickness formed by a sputtering method. Consequently, the temperature of the liquid crystal panel is uniformed over the entire surface of the panel and even when a light source which causes a temperature difference in the temperature distribution of the liquid crystal panel is used, high picture quality can be maintained.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the number of times of write in the same storage position and to improve durability of a storage medium when data indicating a setting state and the like of a display device is stored in a rewritable storage medium. SOLUTION: In this display control device, a wound in which at least one bit of a state '1' is included by a parity bit is stored in an EEPROM as adjustment level data, while zero is written in all other words. When the device is started, data is successively read out from the leading address of the EEPROM, data including a bit of a state '1' is detected (S91-S96), and it is used for controlling the device as adjustment level data (S97). Then zero is written in a retrieved address position (S98), while a value in which 1 is added to the detected address is held as a writing address of adjustment level data in cutting off a power source of the device (S100).

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the display in accurately response to the position of a pen point by placing a microlens array between a data input plane where the pen point is applied and the display screen of a display means. SOLUTION: A two-dimensional array of microlenses 21 is formed on the lower surface of an input display board 2 made of glass by the ion exchange method, and a diffused layer 22 is formed on the upper surface of the board 2 by the dispersing agent coating method. When the front light (b) emitted from a back light 4 irradiates an LCD panel 3, the pixels of the panel 3 are projected on the layer 22 formed on the upper surface of the board 2 through the microlenses 21 of the board 2. Thus the images are displayed on the layer 22. As a result, the complete coincidence is secured between a pen point and an image display screen and the smooth pen input of handwriting is attained with no feeling of incongruity and with a writing feeling with a pen and a notebook.

CONSTITUTION:The liquid crystal device has a liquid crystal panel 1 which displays information, a heater 11 which heats the liquid crystal pane 1 to raise its temperature, and a heater control circuit 15 which controls the heater 11; when the environment temperature is lower than a prescribed stand-by temperature, the heater 11 is controlled by the heater control circuit 15 which lets the temperature of the liquid crystal panel 1 be the stand-by temperature when the liquid crystal device is not in operation and also lets the temperature of the liquid crystal panel 1 be a prescribed operation temperature when the liquid crystal device is in operation. The heater panel is controlled according to the environmental temperature, so the power consumption in the heater panel can be minimized, excessive heat is applied to neither members nor circuits, and their deterioration can be suppressed.
