    Abstract: A base plate for an ostomy appliance is disclosed. The base plate comprises a first adhesive layer with a proximal side configured for attachment of the base plate to the skin surface of a user; a plurality of electrodes including a first electrode and a second electrode, the first electrode comprising a first connection part and the second electrode comprising a second connection part; a monitor interface for forming mechanical and electrical connection with a monitor device, the monitor interface comprising a coupling part and a plurality of terminals including a first terminal; and a multiplexer with a number of N input pins and a number of M output pins; wherein the N input pins include a first input pin and a second input pin, and the M output pins include a first output pin, wherein the first input pin is connected to the first connection part and the second input pin is connected to the second connection part, and the first output pin is connected to the first terminal of the monitor interface. The multiplexer is configured to connect the first input pin to the first output pin in a first multiplexer configuration and to connect the second input pin to the first output pin in a second multiplexer configuration.

    Abstract: Data collection schemes for a wound dressing and related methods are disclosed. In an embodiment, a monitor device for a wound dressing system comprises a wound dressing. The wound dressing comprises an electrode assembly. The electrode assembly comprises a plurality of electrodes including a first set of first electrodes and a second set of second electrodes. The monitor device comprises: a processor, memory and a first interface. The first interface is connected to the processor and the memory. The first interface comprises a plurality of terminals including a first terminal and a second terminal and a data collector coupled to the first terminal and the second terminal. The first terminal is configured to form an electrical connection with a first primary electrode of the first set of first electrodes and the second terminal is configured to form an electrical connection with either a first secondary electrode of the first set of first electrodes or a second primary electrode of the second set of second electrodes. The data collector comprises a data collection controller and is configured to: collect data from the plurality of terminals according to a primary data collection scheme; and collect data from the plurality of terminals according to a secondary data collection scheme, wherein the primary data collection scheme is different from the secondary data collection scheme.

    Abstract: The disclosure relates to a base plate for an ostomy appliance, comprising: at least a first layer of an adhesive material adapted for attachment of the base plate to the skin surface of a user. The base plate further comprises a backing layer comprising a film material forming a distal and a proximal surface of the backing layer, wherein a stoma-receiving opening extending through the base plate is provided in a center portion of the base plate. The base plate further comprises a first sensor element comprising at least one sensor pair, the sensor pair comprising a first sensor and a second sensor. Each of the first sensor and the second sensor connected to a control unit interface, such that an electrical signal can be conducted between a respective sensor and the control unit interface. The first sensor element is provided between the first layer of adhesive material and the proximal surface of the backing layer. Each of the first sensor and the second sensor of the sensor pair comprises a conductor electrode and a ground electrode. The second sensor of the sensor pair is located at a greater radial distance from the stoma-receiving opening than the first sensor of the sensor pair.
