    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the transfer characteristics of a minor loop by varying the thickness of a spacer film responding to a bubble transfer direction at the rectilinear part of the minor loop. CONSTITUTION:The film thickness H and h of a spacer 11 are varied in accordance with the directions A and B where the transfer characteristics of a minor loop are superior and inferior respectively at the rectilinear part of the minor loop formed by a soft magnetic thin film pattern 12. The thickness h is smaller than the thickness H. Therefore the pattern 12 accesses a bubble crystal 10 in the direction B to have larger coupling force than the force in the direction A. This improves the overall transfer characteristics of the minor loop.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To hold down the increment of the power consumption, by superposing a relatively low auxiliary driving current to a normal driving current for a short time. CONSTITUTION:A square voltage pulse 10 corresponding to HD1 is supplied to an X coil, and a square voltage pulse 11 corresponding to HD1 is supplied to a Y coil, and further, an auxiliary driving voltage pulse 12 is applied to the Y coil near a phase of 0 deg. where a bubble traverses the gap of a half disc transfer path. Therefore, the Lissagjou's waveform of the driving magnetic field is expanded near 0 deg., and the amplitude and the pulse width of this auxiliary driving voltage pulse are selected properly to compensate sufficiently the rise of the driving magnetic field in the gap part of the transfer path, thus holding down the increment of the power consumption.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To hold down the power consumption to a relatively low value, by using an auxiliary driving current pulse to compensate the rise of a driving magnetic field generated by application of a hold magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:Driving current pulses whose phases are shifted from each other by 90 deg. are applied to an X coil and a Y coil which are orthogonal to each other. That is, a square voltage pulse 10 is applied to the X coil, and a square voltage pulse 11 is applied to the Y coil, and further, an auxiliary driving voltage pulse 12 is applied to them so that the driving magnetic field in the direction opposite to the direction of the hold magnetic field is intensified. When driving voltage pulse are applied to X and Y coils in this manner, the driving current becomes triangular wave driving currents 13 and 13' because of inductances of coils. In this case, the driving current voltage pulse. As the result, a diamond Lissajous' waveform is attained, and the waveform is expanded in a direction -Hy to compensate the reduction of the driving force due to the hold magnetic field.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the cost for the packaging level, by covering the storing cavity for a bubble chip with a flat plate having at least two holes and then injecting the resin liquid through one of these two holes while monitoring the quantity of the injected resin through the other hole and then hardening the resin. CONSTITUTION:A chip 14 is loaded and fixed into a cavity part 15 of a substrate 13. The cavity 15 is covered with a flat plate 10 having an air vent 11 and a resin injecting hole 12. The chip protecting resin is injected through the hole 12 and then hardened with heat. In such way, the resin can be easily protected and the cost is reduced for the packaging level. Thus the yield is improved.

CONSTITUTION:Guard rail 8' is provided at the peripheral chip edge of memory region of magnetic bubble chip 9, and thus the unnecessary magnetic bubbles can be prevented from entering the memory region. Owing to rail 8', pattern T of the permalloy pattern turns in the direction of the arror mark to prevent that the unnecessary bubbles circulate in the turning direction of the rotary magnetic field and then enters the memory region. Like pattern 8'', the chevron pattern is also available. Thus the unnecessary bubbles can be prevented effectively from entering the memory region by securing such pattern that can be propagated in two ways. as a result, the malfunction can be avoided for the memory device.
