Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a hair-treatment composition to be used by adjusting to a specific pH, containing a specific silicone compound and a specific impregnation promoting agent and exhibiting improved effect to prevent the splitting of hair and to keep the gloss of hair. CONSTITUTION:The 1st agent of the objective composition contains 0.01-50wt.% of a compound of formula I or formula II (X is alkali metal, alkaline-earth metal, ammonia, amine or quaternary ammonium salt; (n) is 1-20; (m) is 1-20; n/m>1; (l) is 1-20). The 2nd agent of the composition is an alkali solution optionally containing ammonia or amine to adjust the pH to 8-11. A compound of formula III or formula IV (R is H, lower alkyl, etc.; Y is H or OH; (p), (q) and (r) are 0.5; R3 is 8-18C alkyl) is added in an amount of 0.1-50wt.% to the 1st agent and/or the 2nd agent. The objective two-pack type composition can be produced by properly compounding conventional hair cosmetic components to the agents.

Thereby, dyeing of a wide range of color tone from yellow to red to further gray to dark brown can be carried out by combination of the various developing substances with the coupling components.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a composition for hair treatment capable of gradually dyeing white hair into a desired color tone, e.g. black purple to black under mild conditions without exhibiting allergic action and being simple also in dyeing operation. CONSTITUTION:This composition for hair treatment contains a water-soluble extract of a saxifragaceous plant, e.g. Saxifraga stlonifera Meerb. A polyvalent metal salt is preferably added to the composition so as to effectively carry out dyeing of white hair.
