Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject dyeing or decoloring agent capable of exhibiting excellent conditioning effects without inhibiting the dyeing power or decoloring power by including an oxidizing agent and a specific nonionic surfactant and setting the pH within a specified range. SOLUTION: This dyeing or decoloring agent for keratinous fibers. comprises (A) an oxidizing agent (preferably hydrogen peroxide, etc.), and (B) a nonionic surfactant having an 8-36C branched chain acyl, an 8-36C branched chain alkyl or an 8-36C branched chain alkenyl group and 7-12 hydrophile-lipophile balance(HLB). The amount of the formulated component A is preferably 0.5-10 wt.% in the whole composition. The amount of the formulated component B is preferably 0.01-10 wt.% in the whole composition. The dyeing and decoloring agents can be employed as a two-part type or a three-part type used by mixing at the time of use. Thereby, excellent conditioning effects can be expected without inhibiting the dyeing power or decoloring power.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition for bleaching keratinous fiber capable of reducing rough and dry touch by the damage of hair, and capable of bleaching the keratinous fiber without losing moisture, luster and softness by including a specific amide compound and an oxidant. SOLUTION: This composition for bleaching keratinous fiber contains (A) an amide compound (e.g. a compound of the formula), preferably an N- substituted amide compound, etc., having >=30 total number of carbons and having 0-50 deg.C melting point, and (B) an oxidant such as hydrogen peroxide, preferably in a proportion of 0.1-20 wt.% component A and 1.0-8.0 wt.% component B based on the whole composition. The component A is preferably the one capable of holding >=5 wt.% combined water. The composition is used in a form of a transparent liquid, an emulsion, a cream or the like, and can be formed into two-pack type or three-pack type without one-pack type. The pH is preferably 2-6 in the case of the one-pack type, or 8-11 in the case of two- or three-pack type.

The compound of formula 1 can be produced e.g. by using a compound of formula 3 (R is alkyl) as a starting substance, converting the substance to a compound of formula 8 via the compounds of formula 6 and formula 7 and converting this compound 8 via a compound of formula 10 to a compound of formula 1a, or via a compound of formula 14 (R is arylcarbonyl, etc.) to a compound of formula 1c or directly to a compound of formula 1b (R is alkyl).
