    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a shampoo composition causing neither change in color nor fading with light, by mixing a composition blended with an imidazoline type ampholytic activator with specific dye and a heavy metal. CONSTITUTION:(A) 1-45wt.% compound shown by formula I or formula II [R1 and R3 are 7-19 hydrocarbon group; R2 and R4 are CH2COOM or CH2CH2 COOM (M is H, alkali metal or alkanolamine); R5 is or R2] is blended with (B) 5-500ppm heavy metal selected from Fe or Cu (e.g. blended as salt such as FeCl3 or CuSO4) and (C) 0.000001-0.001 water-soluble or oil-soluble dye having an anthraquinone skeleton (e.g. Sudan Blue or quinizarin green SS). The contents of the components B and C are especially preferably 10-50ppm and 0.00005-0.0005wt.%, respectively.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a safe lotion composition capable of stably including a large amount of aromatic volatile substance and suppressing the dissipation of the substance and giving low irritation to the skin, by using a specific methylated beta-cyclodextrin and an aromatic volatile substance as essential components. CONSTITUTION:The objective lotion composition contains (A) a methylated beta-cyclodextrin (beta-CD) having a weight-average ether substitution degree of 8.0-11.0 and containing >=50wt.% methylated beta-CD having an ether-substitution degree of 8-11 and produced by reacting 1mol of a beta-CD with 8-30mol of dimethyl sulfate in an aqueous solvent in the presence of an alkaline compound at 0-80 deg.C and (B) an aromatic volatile substance such as eugenol, amyl acetate, and camphor. The amounts of the components A and B in the composition are 0.1-10% (preferably 0.2-5%) and 0.01-2% (preferably 0.02-1%), respectively, and the amount of the component A is preferably 2-10pts.wt. per 1pt.wt. of the component B.
