Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the fluidity and to decrease the energy required for drying by incorporating a specified compd. and formaldehyde-added condensed copolymers obtained from a phenol and one or more kinds of monomers which can make condensation copolymers with formaldehyde. CONSTITUTION:A phenol or alkylphenol of formula (A) (wherein R is hydrogen or alkyl group of 1-6 carbon number), sodium sulfanilate, etc., (B) and melamine (C) and water are compounded with desired proportions and adjusted to have pH7-8.5. This mixture is put in a reaction chamber and effected for the condensation reaction while formalin is dropped thereinto at 80-90 deg.C to obtain the reaction product (D). Then the (D) component is cooled to obtain a water reducing agent for gypsum slurry having the molar ratio of A:B:C=1.0:0.5-1.0:0.1-1.0 and 1000-50000 average mol.wt.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the consistency, fluidity and segregation resistance of a cement composition by incorporating the melamine-urea-formaldehyde addition copolycondensation product having a sulfonic acid group into the admixture. CONSTITUTION:One mol of a mixture of 0.1-0.95mol% melamine and 0.9-0.05mol% urea is allowed to react with 1-5mols of 30-40% aq. formalin to obtain a prepolymer. The prepolymer is modified by Na2SO3 and/or NaHSO4 and then neutralized with an alkali to obtain a melamine-urea-formaldehyde addition copolycondensation product (A) having 1,000-50,000 average mol.wt. and contg. 0.2-2mol% of a sulfonic acid group per mol of urea. Subsequently, 100 pts.wt. of the component A is mixed with 5-50 pts.wt. of (B) a nonionic water-soluble cellulose ether (e.g. methylcellulose) to obtain a self-filling cement admixture. The admixture contg. 0.1-5 pts.wt. of the component A and 0.01-3 pts.wt. of the component B is added to 100 pts.wt. of cement.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the consistency, fluidity and segregation resistance of a cement composition by incorporating the addition copolycondensation product of melamine, phenol and formaldehyde having a specified acid group and a nonionic water-soluble cellulose ether into the admixture. CONSTITUTION:One mol of a mixture of melamine and phenol in 0.1-0.95 molar ratio is added with 1-5mols of 30-40% aq. formalin, and the mixture is subjected to a reaction to obtain a prepolymer. The prepolymer is modified by Na2SO3 and/or NaHSO3 and then neutralized with an alkali to obtain a melamine- phenol-formaldehyde addition copolycondensation product (A) having 1,000-50,000 average mol.wt. and contg. 0.2-2mols of a sulfonic acid group per mol of melamine and phenol. Subsequently, 100 pts.wt.of the component A is mixed with 5-50 pts.wt. of (B) nonionic cellulose ether (e.g. methylcellulose) to obtain a self-filling cement admixture. The admixture contg. 0.1-5 pts.wt. of the component A and 0.01-3 pts.wt.of the component B is added to 100 pts.wt. of cement.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the amt. of kneading water and to improve adhesion property of an adhesive by incorporating the essential components comprising melamine formaldehyde condensation product having a sulfonate group and alkali alkyl sulfate into an admixture to be added to hemihydrate gypsum. CONSTITUTION:The admixture for an adhesive for gypsum molded products consists of essential components comprising, by 98-70 pts.wt. of melamine formaldehyde condensation product having sulfonate groups and 2-30 pts.wt. alkali alkyl sulfate. This admixture is added to the adhesive for gypsum molded products, essentially comprising heminydrate gypsum. Thereby, the amt. of kneading water is largely reduced and adhesion strength to the base body is improved.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a dispersant for an inorg. pigment having a satisfactory dispersing effect and ensuring aging stability of viscosity for a dispersion liq. by using phenolsulfonate and phenol in a specified ratio and co-condensing them with formaldehyde in an alkaline region. CONSTITUTION:Phenol is added by 4-30mol%, basing on e.g. 1mol sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide solution of phenolsulfonic acid, and they are co- condensed with formaldehyde in an alkaline atmosphere. The resulting copolycondensation product having 500-40,000 average mol.wt. is used as a dispersant. This dispersant has a satisfactory dispersing effect to calcium carbonate, etc., and ensures aging stability of viscosity for a dispersion liq.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain building material which exhibits a function for regulating moisture and preventing dew condensation on the wall surface and is excellent in hygroscopic and moisture release properties by mixing fine polymer particles having inner holes with the hydraulic composition. CONSTITUTION:In building material consisting of hydraulic composition, fine polymer particles having inner holes are mixed with hydraulic composition. The polymer particles are constituted of a copolymer which consists of 1-50wt.% cross-linkable monomer, 1-50wt.% ethylenic unsaturated monomer and 0-50wt.% the other hydrophilic monomer capable of being copolymerized with these monomers or of 0-50wt.% dissimilar polymer having composition different from this polymer. This hollow fine polymer particles have 0.1-20mum outer diameter and its inner diameter is 0.1-0.5 times of the outer diameter. The hollow fine polymer particles become a flat shape at a time of desolvent and become a spherical shape in a solvent.
