Abstract: The machine consists of a main frame (6), a plate-carrying cylinder (4), a printing cylinder (3), a wiper (10) and an inking system formed by a collecting/inking cylinder (5), at least four colour selection cylinders (7a-7d), each with an inking roller (8a-8d). Abstract: The security document (W1), with a security film section (2) has a machine-readable variable print (3a,4a) applied to the film before it is bonded durably to the document. After the film is fitted, it is passed through a scanner which reads the information and controls a printer to reproduce the variable printed matter at another section of the document. Abstract: The stacking board is designed as a stackable pallet (1) which exhibits on its underside, on opposite side borders (1a, 1b), in each case two hollow feet (2) and two hollow latching protuberances (4,5) with a smaller engagement depth than that of the feet. The feet on each longitudinal border of the pallet are located opposite the hollow latching protuberances on the other longitudinal border. When a number of pallets are stacked upon one another, depending on the orientation of the pallets, either a tightly packed storage stack is produced where the feet of the top pallet are sunk into the hollow feet of the lower pallet, or a working, spaced apart stack is produced where the feet of one pallet engage into the hollow latching protuberances of the pallet below.

Abstract: A method of authenticating security documents and a mobile device, especially a smartphone, programmed to carry out the method, based on an analysis of features which are produced by intaglio printing, which analysis involves a decomposition of sample images of a candidate document to be authenticated based on Wavelets, each sample image being digitally processed by performing a Wavelet transform of the sample image in order to derive a set of classification features. The method is based on an adaptive approach, which includes the following steps : - prior to carrying out the Wavelet transform, defining a categorization map containing local information about different intaglio line structures that are found on the security documents; - carrying out a Wavelet selection amongst a pool of Wavelet types based on the categorization map; and - performing the Wavelet transform of the sample image on the basis of the selected Wavelet.
