    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding process whereby molded articles are easily produced without being accompanied by scorch, burning, etc., even in long-time continuous production by compounding a specified amt. of a fluorine-contg. process aid into a polyolefin resin compsn. contg. a (ligno)cellulose substance when the compsn. is molded. SOLUTION: When a resin compsn. prepd. by thermally mixing and kneading a polyolefin resin, up to 20 wt.% (ligno)cellulose (e.g. wood flour), and, based on the sum of the resin and (ligno)cellulose, 0.005-1 wt.% org. peroxide and 0.5-20 wt.% polybasic acid anhydride (e.g. maleic anhydride) is molded, 0.05-0.8 wt.% (based on the compsn.) fluorine-contg. process aid is compounded into the compsn. Pref., the polyolefin resin is a mixture of PP having a melt flow rate (230 deg.C, 2.16 kg-load) of 0.1-200 g/10 min with PE having a melt flow rate (190 deg.C, 2.16 kg-load) of 0.01-200 g/10 min in a wt. ratio of (40/60)-(90/10).

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition capable of performing a contour extrusion molding, at a low cost, excellent in mechanical strengths, and capable of producing molded products having a good skin touch feeling peculiar to a woodbased material and various shapes by blending the wood based material and a thermoplastic resin, and partially crosslinking them. SOLUTION: This resin composition for a contour extrusion molding is obtained by blending (A) a wood-based material preferably as a powdery state such as a (ligno)cellulosic material with (B) a thermoplastic resin such as a polyolefin based resin and a vinyl chloride resin, adding e.g. a radical polymerization initiator, and partially crosslinking them by a method of heating and kneading the mixture, etc. As the component (A), a chemically modified wood- based material is preferably used, and among them, those chemically-modified with a compound having a polymerizable double bond and especially with maleic anhydride, are preferable. As the blending ratio of the component (A) based on 100 pts.wt. component (B), 10-240 pt.wt. is preferable, and 25-150 pt.wt. is more preferable. As the extent of the crosslinking, approximately 3-50% is preferable as a gel fraction.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a method for manufacturing a reformed timber having excellent water resistance and dimensional stability. CONSTITUTION:A timer is impregnated with a water soluble epoxy compound having two or more epoxy groups in molecular (for example, number average molecular weight 2000 or less, ethylene glycol diglycidyl ether) and an aqueous solution of polymerization catalyzei (for example, imidazole compound). After it is dried by a temperature lower than a temperature where the epoxy group reacts to water, it is heated so as to couple the epoxy compound with a hydroxyl in the timber and the epoxy compound is cured in polymerization.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce the title molded product which can be easily molded into any shape by extrusion molding, injection molding, or the like and is excellent in mechanical strengths, by incorporating a thermoplastic resin into a composition comprising a specific oligoesterified woody material and a specific oligomer. CONSTITUTION:A composition is prepared from an oligoesterified woody material (A) (e.g. wood meal) having polymerizable double bonds and hydroxyl groups to which a polybasic acid anhydride (e.g. maleic anhydride) and a monoepoxy compound having a polymerizable double bond (e.g. acryl glycidyl ether) are alternatingly added and an oligomer (B) having a polymerizable double bond which is produced by the reaction of a polybasic acid anhydride with a monoepoxy compound having a polymerizable double bond in a blending ratio of (A) to (B) of (50:50)-(90:10). 5-40pts.wt. thermoplastic resin (C) (e.g. polyethylene oxide) is added to 100pts.wt. above composition to obtain a mixture, and the mixture is subjected to hot press molding. The mixture is good in hot press moldability and can be easily molded into any shape by extrusion molding, injection molding, or the like to give the title molded product having good mechanical strengths.
