Abstract: L'invention concerne un procédé de teinture des fibres kératiniques, caractérisé par le fait que l'on applique successivement sur ces fibres (a) une composition contenant dans un milieu approprié pour la teinture, à un pH compris entre 2 et 10, un anion d'un métal ayant une bonne affinité pour la kératine et ayant un potentiel d'oxydoréduction supérieur à celui du 5,6-dihydroxyindole ou de ses dérivés, de formule (I) ci-dessous, et (b) une composition contenant dans un milieu approprié pour la teinture, à un pH compris entre 7 et 10, un colorant de formule (I): (I) dans laquelle R1 et R2 désignent, indépendamment l'un de l'autre, un atome d'hydrogène ou un groupement méthyle ou éthyle. L'invention s'applique notamment à la teinture des cheveux humains et permet d'améliorer de façon importante la puissance tinctoriale du 5,6-dihydroxyindole ou de ses dérivés.

Abstract: PROCEDE POUR EVALUER L'ETAT DE SURFACE DES FIBRES KERATINI QUES ET COMPOSITION POUR LA MISE EN OEUVRE DE CE PROCEDE. Selon ce procédé, a) on choisit une molécule pouvant pénétrer dans les interstices de surface des fibres kératiniques ; pouvant conduire, en milieu aqueux, à une solution colorée naturellement ou susceptible de l'être par une révélation, et pouvant, dans les conditions du procédé, être stable et maintenue à un pH tel qu'aucune charge ionique n'apparaisse ; b) on prépare une solution aqueuse d'immersion contenant les molécules choisies ; c) on y immerge un échantillon des fibres à étudier pour réaliser une "montée" de la molécule sur les fibres qui soit fonction de leur état de surface ; d) on retire l'échantillon de la solution et on élimine l'excès de solution imbibant les fibres ; e) on extrait la molécule présente sur les fibres par immersion de celles-ci dans au moins un bain aqueux de même pH que celui de la solution aqueuse d'immersion pour obtenir une solution d'extraction qui est colorée ou dont on révèle la coloration dans une étape r); et g) on déduit l'état de surface des fibres de la quantité des molécules contenue dans la solution d'extraction.
