Abstract: The invention relates to a composition consisting of a dispersion in an aqueous medium D of niosome and/or liposome spherules, within which an aqueous phase E is encapsulated, at least one portion of the spherules being niosomes; the lipids forming spherules constituting from 2 to 10% of the weight of the composition; in at least one of the phases E and D there is dissolved at least one water-soluble polyamide polymer having a molecular weight between 1,000 and 200,000, at a concentration of 0.01 to 5% by weight relative to the total weight of the composition. Usable in cosmetics or pharmaceuticals.

Abstract: A process for the preparation of a stable emulsion of at least one water-immiscible liquid phase L in an aqueous phase D is described which comprises mixing the liquid phase or phases L with a dispersion of spheres in an aqueous phase D, the spheres having an average diameter of 0.025 to 5 microns and consisting of substantially concentric lipid laminae encapsulating an aqueous phase E between them, the lipid or lipids constituting the laminae being ionic or nonionic amphiphilic substances capable of forming a lamellar phase in water, and subjecting the whole to mechanical agitation so as to disperse the phase (or phases) L in the phase D in the form of droplets having an average diameter of 0.1 micron to a few microns.

Abstract: A cosmetic composition is a radical of a fatty acid containing described which is in the form of an aqueous dispersion of small spheres composed of organised molecular layers between which an internal aqueous phase is encapsulated, these layers comprising at least one non- ionic amphiphilic lipid, the external aqueous phase containing at least one oil which is a fatty acid ester of a polyol, or a fatty acid ester of a branched alcohol, of the formula R- COOR', in which formula R represents a radical of a fatty acid containing from 8 to 20 carbon atoms and R' represents a branched hydrocarbon chain containing from 3 to 20 carbon atoms; the oil may be sunflower, maize, soya, gourd, grapeseed, jojoba or purcellin oil or glycerol tricaprocaprylate.
