Abstract: In an aspect, a network component transmits, to a UE, at least one neural network function configured to facilitate processing of positioning measurement data into one or more positioning measurement features at the UE, the at least one neural network function being generated dynamically based on machine-learning associated with one or more historical measurement procedures. The UE may obtain positioning measurement data associated with the UE, and may process the positioning measurement data into a respective set of positioning measurement features based on the at least one neural network function. The UE may report the processed set of positioning measurement features to a network component, such as the BS or LMF.

Abstract: Various embodiments include methods performed in receiver circuitry of a wireless communication device for demodulating wireless transmission waveforms to reconstruct data tones, which may include receiving, from a transmitter, wireless transmission waveforms that includes peak reduction tones (PRTs) that were inserted by a PRT neural network in the transmitter, and demodulating the received wireless transmission waveforms using a decoder neural network that has been trained based on outputs of the transmitter to output a reconstruction of the data tones. Further embodiments include exchanging information between the transmitter and receiver circuitry to coordinate the PRT neural network used for inserting PRTs in the transmitting wireless communication device and the decoder neural network used in the receiving wireless communication device for demodulating transmission waveforms received from the transmitting wireless communication device.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit a first part of a channel state information (CSI) report, wherein the first part includes an indication of whether a value of a second part of the CSI report matches a value of a previous CSI report; and selectively transmit the second part of the CSI report based at least in part on whether the indication indicates that the value of the second part of the CSI report matches the value of the previous CSI report. In some aspects, a UE may determine a modified subband size of the UE, wherein the modified subband size is different than a configured subband size of the UE; and transmit, in a CSI report, an indication regarding the modified subband size to a base station. Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for channel sounding for wireless communications. Some implementations more specifically relate to scheduling sounding reference signal (SRS) resource sets for wireless devices having more than (4) receive (RX) antenna ports. In some implementations, a base station may determine an antenna switching capability of a user equipment (UE). The antenna switching capability indicates a number of RX antenna ports of the UE. The base station schedules a number of SRS resource sets for the UE based at least in part on the number of RX antenna ports in excess of four. For example, the number of RX antenna ports may be equal to (8). As another example, the number of RX antenna ports may be equal to (6). The base station further receives, from the UE, uplink transmissions of one or more SRS resources for each of the scheduled SRS resource sets.

Abstract: A UE receives a first channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) on a first set of beams and receives a second CSI-RS on a second set of beams. The apparatus determines a channel quality indicator (CQI), a rank indicator (RI), and a precoding matrix indicator (PMI) based on the first CSI-RS. The apparatus reports the CQI and RI using an uplink control channel and indicates the PMI using a precoded SRS transmission. The precoded SRS transmission may be precoded based on a dissimilarity between the first CSI-RS and the second CSI-RS. The first CSI-RS may comprise a predefined precoder, and the second CSI-RS may comprise a decoder based on an uplink channel estimate of a non-precoded SRS from the UE.

Abstract: Aspects directed towards enhancing channel quality indicator (CQI) feedback are disclosed. In one example, a determination is made of a first CQI associated with a first transmission layer and a second CQI associated with a second transmission layer. At least one delta CQI is ascertained, which is a ratio of the second CQI and first CQI. A channel state information (CSI) report that includes the at least one delta CQI is then transmitted on an uplink channel. In another example, a user equipment (UE) is configured to determine a first CQI associated with a first transmission layer and a second CQI associated with a second transmission layer. The UE is instructed to ascertain at least one delta CQI, which is a ratio of the second CQI and first CQI. A CSI report that includes the at least one delta CQI is then received from the UE.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Techniques described herein provide for a user equipment (UE) receiving a set of downlink reference signals associated with a downlink channel. In some cases, the set of downlink reference signals may include a channel state information reference signals (CSI-RS). The UE may calculate a transmission rank and a channel quality based on the received set of downlink reference signals. In some cases, the indication of the transmission rank may include a rank indication (RI), and the indication of the channel quality includes a channel quality indicator (CQI). The UE may then transmit the indications of the transmission rank and the channel quality using an uplink control channel, and may transmit an indication of a remaining channel state feedback using a precoded uplink reference signal.
