Thus, the battery effect between the opposed electrodes is restrained in comparison with the conventional element using aluminum or the like as the electrode 42A. Therefore, the asymmetry of the liquid crystal responsiveness is restrained and the offset voltage required for the driving voltage is reduced in comparison with the conventional element.
