When in the external input mode, automatic time correction is omitted. When not in the external input mode, it is determined whether a required time correction value is within an allowable correction range or not. For example, only when the allowable correction is set within a range of + or -3min and as long as correction value is within this range, automatic correction is performed thereby preventing malfunctioning.

Then the band switching signals are supplied to a turner 1 for low and high channels and a UHF channel respectively.
