Abstract: PURPOSE:To receive an image of high quality having a small black-and-white noise by an SHF receiving device for satellite broadcasting by controlling the gain of a gain control amplifier with the output signal of a DC offset circuit and controlling the noise band with of a PLL circuit. CONSTITUTION:An FM signal supplied to an input terminal appears at the output side of a PLL constituting the closed loop of a phase comparator 2, a loop filter 3, a gain control amplifier 4, and a voltage-controlled oscillator 10 as a phase-detected video signal. In this case, the signal is supplied from the output side of the PLL to the control signal generating circuit composed of a band-pass filter 6 of 3.58+ or -0.5MHz, and AM detector 7, a DC amplifier 8, and a DC offset circuit and a control signal is supplied to the gain control circuit 4 as a signal which controls its gain; and a demodulated signal (base band signal) is so controlled as to increase when the level of a chrominance subcarrier of 3.58MHz is large and decreases when the chrominance subcarrier is small in level, thereby varying the equivalent noise band width B1 of the PLL circuit.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a voltage controlled oscillator which can easily obtain a high oscillating frequency over the VHF band and have a wide variable range in the oscillating frequency by adopting phase shift type and constituting its variable phase shift circuit by a transistor (TR) of common base connection. CONSTITUTION:A control voltage Vc from an input terminal 11 is applied to a driving amplifier circuit 12. The circuit 12 outputs a current in response to the control voltage Vc. The variable phase shift circuit 13 is constituted by the common base TR and the control current being an output of the circuit 12 is applied to its emitter. An output of the circuit 13, i.e. an output of the collector of the TR of common base is applied to an inverse amplifier circuit 15 via a capacitor 14, where the phase is inverted, an output of the circuit 15 is fed back to the emitter of the common base TR being an input side of the circuit 13 via a buffer amplifier circuit 16 and a capacitor 17 so as to constitute an oscillating loop as shown in the arrows in broken lines in figure, and the amount of phase shift of the circuit 13 is changed, allowing to change the oscillating frequency.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration in picture quality without delay in response of AGC, by making the switching of a diversity receiving antenna through the video signal after video detection. CONSTITUTION:A signal from variable directivity antennas 1a, 1b installed in the interval of lambda/4 is applied to turns 3a, 3b, IF amplifiers 4a, 4b and video detection circuits 5a, 5b. A detected output via video amplifiers 13a, 13b is given to a switch circuit 14. Further, the detected output is applied to a switching signal forming circuit 100 to obtain the switching signal of the switch circuit 14 and the switch circut 14 is switched to a given level or more through this switching signal. Further, if both the detected output levels are less than the specified value, a signal changing the directivity of antenna is produced from the forming circuit 100. Thus, the antenna switching can be made without delay of response such as AGC, allowing to prevent the deterioration of video quality.

Further, connection points between cathodes of diodes 11b-11n and capacitors 12b-12n are connected together via resistors 21b-21n, and this connection point is connected to bias terminal 22b. The voltage of terminal 20 is fixed and two control voltages varying reciprocally centering on the fixed voltage are supplied to terminals 22a and 22b to control the capacity value, so that desired phase-shifting extent can be obtained.
