    Abstract: 1,177,683. Production of fumaronitrile and/or maleonitrile. TAKEDA YAKUHIN KOGYO K.K. 15 March, 1967 [15 March, 1966], No. 12139/67. Heading C2C. Fumaronitrile and/or maleonitrile are obtained by reacting acetonitrile with a halogen in the molecular state in a molar ratio of less than one mol of halogen per mole of acetonitrile, the reaction being effected in the vapour phase at a temperature of 300-1200‹ C. The reaction may be effected under reduced, atmospheric or elevated pressure and an inert gas may be present.

CONSTITUTION:A compound shown by formula I [Pc is phthalocyanine ring; M is H or metal; MPc is group shown by formula II; A is secondary or tertiary nitrogen or 2-18C alkylene which may be interrupted with O, cycloalkyl or phenyl; Y is NRR (R and R are H, 1-4C alkyl or NRR is 5-to 6-membered saturated nitrogen-containing aromatic ring)] such as iron-phthalocyanine-tetra(N-6-aminohexyl)carboxamide. The compound shown by formula I, for example, is obtained by reacting a phthalocyanine-carboxamide shown by formula III with an amine shown by formula NH2-A-Y.
