Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing color filter capable of inexpensively forming a black matrix and a colored pattern in such a satisfactory dimensional precision as to accommodate to a large screen and obtaining a high-definition color filter having no color irregularity without using a photolithography method with a mask. SOLUTION: The color filter is manufactured as follow; a light shielding layer is formed on a transparent substrate by using a printing method, a negative resist layer including an ink repellent agent is formed, thereafter, exposure and development is performed via a mask having a light shielding layer pattern, whereby, a barrier wall formed by laminating the light shielding layer and the ink repellent negative resist layer is provided and inkjet ink is delivered into the barrier wall. SOLUTION: The color filter is manufactured by forming the light shielding layers by using a printing method on a transparent substrate and filling a water-soluble polymer layer between the light shielding layers to nearly flatten the layers, then applying an ink-repellent agent layer over the entire surface and dissolving away the water-soluble polymer layer to form the ink-repellent agent layer on the light shielding layers and to obtain apertures between the light shielding layers, and discharging an ink jet ink into the apertures. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photosensitive composition which is highly sensitive, is capable of maintaining the high sensitivity for a long term and has excellent preservation stability, and to provide a color filter using the photosensitive composition. SOLUTION: The photosensitive composition contains at least a compound having an ethylenic unsaturated double bond, a photo polymerization initiator, pigment and a thiol compound. The thiol compound has a branched structure in which three or more substituents other than hydrogen are combined to a carbon of α-position and/or β-position with respect to the thiol group. Therein, it is preferable that at least one of the substituents is an alkyl group. By using the thiol compound having such a branched structure, the composition which is highly sensitive and is capable of maintaining the sensitivity can be obtained.
