Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the change in capacitance and to improve electric characteristics and the adhesion of a vapor-deposition film by using a dielectric layer comprising a specified film, and making the transmittance of total light rays after a hot water treatment of the metallized film have a specified value or less. CONSTITUTION:A dielectric layer comprising two-axis oriented 1,4- polycyclohexylenedimethylene terephthalate film is used, and the adhesion of an evaporated film is enhanced. The transmittance of total light rays of the metallized film forming a capacitor when the film is immersed in hot water for 10 minutes is specified at 15% or less and desirably at 13% or less. Thus the changing rate of capacitance is made small.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a composite film enhanced in the adhesive strength with a vapor deposition film and reduced in electrostatic capacity change rate by superposing a polymer film on the single surface of a polyester film and further superposing a metal layer thereon by vapor deposition. CONSTITUTION:In a composite polyester film mainly used as an industrial material, a film composed of poly(1,4-cyclohexylene dimethylene terephthalate) containing 50% or more, pref., 70% or more of a cyclohexane dimethanol unit is provided to the single surface or both surfaces of a polyester film and a metal layer composed of aluminium or zinc is further provided on this polymer film by vapor deposition. By this method, the adhesion, orientation and growth state of the vapor deposition film becomes dense and the adhesive strength thereof is enhanced and an electrostatic capacity change rate is reduced.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce a film excellent in easy adhesiveness, by a method wherein a polyester pellet is melted in gas containing at least 1 vol.% of carbon dioxide to be formed into a film by extrusion and the extruded film is stretched 2.0- below 4.5 times in the longitudinal direction and subsequently stretched in the lateral direction to be subjected to heat treatment. CONSTITUTION:A polyester pellet is supplied to an extruder under an atmosphere containing at least 1 vol.% or more of CO2 and melted. The molten polyester sent out from the extruder passes through a filter and is quantitatively supplied by a gear pump to be guided to a molding die and emitted from a die slit to form a molten sheet which is, in turn, brought into close contact with a casting drum for cooling and solidifying said sheet to obtain a molded sheet. There is no special limit in a stretching system and a no-nip system or the like can be arbitrarily selected. The stretching magnification in the longitudinal direction is set to a range of 2.0- below 4.5 times. When the stretching magnification is too high, a polyester film excellent in adhesiveness and dielectric breakdown is not obtained. Stretching temp. is set to the glass transition temp. of the polyester pellet or more. Next, the stretching in the lateral direction and heat treatment are performed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a disc with little tracking miss and drop out by a structure wherein the title film consists of polyethylene terephthalate film, the content of COOK terminal group of which is the specified value or less and the refractive index in the direction of the thickness, the index of resistance to surface damage and the coefficient of humidity expansion in arbitrary direction within the plane of which are specified. CONSTITUTION:The content of COOH terminal group of polyethylene terephthalate in filmy state must be 30 equivalent per ton or less. The tracking miss of a magnetic disc made of a base material, the content of COOH terminal group of which must exceed 30 equivalent per ton, increases. The refractive index in the thickness of the film must be 1.492 or less. If said index is larger than 1.492, the number of drop outs tends to increase and also tracking misses increases. Next, the index of resistance to surface damage of the film must be 2% or less. The coefficient of humidity expansion of the film must mentioned above is larger than said range, tracking miss tends to occur during the reproduction of record in a magnetic disc having high recording density and consequently the correct reproduction of signals becomes difficult.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enhance dimensional stability and better plane properties to prevent unevenness of thickness by slowly cooling down to room temperature after imparting to a reinforced PET film finished in heat treatment a specified amount of limpness to the progressing direction of film at a specified temperature. CONSTITUTION:A film, not oriented substantially, consisting mainly of polyethylene terephthalate is oriented by 3.0-5.0 times at 80-130 deg.C in length and breadth to make a biaxial oriented film. Next, the same is biaxially oriented simultaneously by 1.0-2.0 times at 110-180 deg.C in length and breadth while both ends are being grasped with clips. Then the same is heat-treated at 160-240 deg.C. After that, 0.1-2% limpness is imparted to the progressing direction of film (longitudinal direction) at a temperature of 80-130 deg.C and the film is slowly cooled down to room temperature at 3-20 deg.C/sec to be wound up. Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is a polymer, a copolymer or a mixture comprising ethylene terephthalate unit more than 70mol% of molecular constitution. The melting point of polymer is more than 250 deg.C, preferably more than 255 deg.C.
