The aim of the invention is to create a mixture for producing green bodies having high green strength and a high compression density, said mixture also helping to reduce the ejection force from the pressing tool. Said aim is achieved by a mixture comprising a metallic and/or plastic material and a pressing aid which contains 25 to 60 percent by weight of a polyglycol and 40 to 75 percent of a montan wax, the percentages being relative to the total quantity of the pressing aid.

The invention relates to a lubricant which contains solid particles that are dispersed in an organic matrix and have a mean particle size of between 1 and 500 nm. The lubricant preferably contains between 0.05 and 30 % by weight, in relation to the total formulation, of solid particles. The organic matrix is preferably selected from among native or mineral oils or fats, carboxylic acid salts with between 12 and 44 carbon atoms, waxes and organic polymers. The solid particles are preferably selected from the metal oxides, metal hydroxides, metal nitrides, metal carbides, metal phosphides, metal borides and metal sulfides and preferably have a hydrophobic coating. The above lubricants can be used to lubricate parts moving in relation to each other, as forming aid, cutting fluid and rolling oil emulsion.

An aqueous antimicrobial conveyor track lubricant composition is provided, comprising: (a) an effective lubricating amount of neutralised C8-C22 fatty acid soap; (b) an effective antimicrobial amount of silver ions; (c) an amount of base sufficient to set the pH of the composition at from 8 to 11. Furthermore, the invention provides a concentrate, which upon dilution with water, forms this aqueous antimicrobial composition. The invention also relates to the use of silver ions as an antimicrobial constituent in a soap based conveyor track lubricant composition.

A parting compound for green sand molding, which contains hydrocarbon oil as the principal agent and other essential components including a surfactant as a dispersant and an anionic surfactant and/or strongly basic amine as a wettability improver. This compound is used in the form of oil-in-water emulsion by diluting with water. Because of the dilutability with water, this compound can be readily stored and transported in a nonbulky state. Furthermore, the proportion of water can be increased as compared with that of the hydrocarbon oil in the step of applying the compound, thus contributing to resource saving and improvement in the resistance to fire hazard.

Upon application to aluminum and titanium, the lubricating composition forms a dry film lubricant stable to heating to a temperature of 200 to 400° C, preferably 1100° C.
