A rope (210, 310) having a three-layered structure comprising a core layer, an inner layer and an outer layer, the core layer comprising one strand (225, 315), the inner layer comprising multiple strands (220) with an amount n and the outer layer comprising multiple strands (215) with an amount m, wherein n is an uneven number, and m is a number which has no common divisor with n, each strand is formed by multiple twisted metal filaments. By this structure fretting of the strands is reduced and the life time of the rope is improved. Also, the use of the rope in lifting application and an elevator system comprising such a rope are disclosed.

L'invention concerne un pneumatique à armature de carcasse radiale, constituée d'au moins une couche d'éléments de renforcement métalliques, ledit pneumatique comprenant une armature de sommet, elle-même coiffée radialement d'une bande de roulement, ladite bande de roulement étant réunie à deux bourrelets par l'intermédiaire de deux flancs. Selon l'invention, les éléments de renforcement d'au moins une couche de l'armature de carcasse sont des câbles hybrides à au moins deux couches, lesdits câbles hybrides comportant un noyau dont au moins un brin est constitué de fibres multifïlamentaires textiles, les brins des couches intermédiaire et/ou externe étant métalliques et au moins une couche interne étant gainée d'une couche constituée d'une composition polymérique telle qu'une composition de caoutchouc réticulable ou réticulée, de préférence à base d'au moins un élastomère diénique.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a combined cable having a core cable made of high-strength plastic fibers present as a twisted monofilament bundle or a plurality of twisted monofilament bundles, and having an external layer of steel wire strands, characterized in that the monofilament bundle or bundles is or are stretched to reduce the diameter and held in a cladding, particularly braided cladding, in this state. The strain of the core cable under load is thus reduced, so that the load distribution between the steel cross-section and the plastic cross-section of the cable is improved. In the same sense, in reverse, in order to have the strain behavior of the strand layer approach that of the core cable, the cable has an intermediate layer made of an elastic plastic, in which the steel wire strands are pressed at a distance from each other, such that the external layer stretches under load and contracts radially.

A wire rope (10, 20), comprising: a core (12, 22), a plurality of outer strands (18, 28) and a plurality of separator strands (17, 27) laid on said core (12, 22), and a first plastic jacket (19) around said plurality of outer strands (18, 19) and said plurality of separator strands (17, 27), wherein said plurality of separator strands (17, 27) extend from said core (12, 22) and in-between each pair of said plurality of outer strands (18, 28) so as to produce and maintain gaps between said pair of said plurality of outer strands (18, 28). Plastic impregnation of the wire rope (10, 20) can be ensured due to the separator strands /17, 27).
